Aww. Mrs. A was one of my favorite teachers! Beth and I just saw her at Arthurs over Thanksgiving weekend too. Kim Nusbaum was there too. Did you see her that day Kim? Now I wish we would have talked to her Beth. We were too tied up with our kids. I'll always regret it.

I have seen a lot of people on here that I have not seen on Facebook. Can we keep trying to get connected?

Now that we know where everyone is living, how many of us are doing what we thought we would be doing 20 years after we crossed the stage at graduation? I for one would have never thought I would have 20 years of Naval service.

Hello All!

I remember just graduating and thanking God that I was able to get through it with just having a baby! Remember that? I always thought I would keep in touch with everyone but I never did. I was consumed with a baby and figuring what am I going to do now. I did figure it out and continued to go to school to get my BA. I would have NEVER thought I would get married due to already having a kid but I did and he is wonderful! Anyway, I can't wait until the reunion to see everyone and find out what is going on with everyone. Thanks Amy for putting this website together. It is Awesome! I did attend Mrs. Anderson's visitation. Very sad and sudden. She developed a blot clot (She had knee surgery in Oct. and that is what they think might have caused the clot) She loved teaching us crazy kids (my olderest who will be 20 in April was able to experience Mrs. Anderson's teachings) and she loved her. If you invited her to a party, she would come. We invited her to our wedding and she was there and she came to my daughter's graduation party too. I will miss her and she will be another one of our angels in heaven watching over us! :)

Thanks Brian for the update on Matt. I will get a letter out to him and fill him in on our reunion. Maybe he can send us a picture or 2 of himself. If he isn't around for the reunion we can include him in the dvd presentation!!

Big Dan Newman, I am doing great. Working up here in the New England area, and just taking it one day at a time. Sounds like you are busy with the kids and sports....my how things do not change. If any of you ever get up this way, give me a call, seafood is cheap and the beer is cold. Take care and see you all at the reunion.

How many of your kids (ecspecially ones that are hitting the teens) have used the line on you...."Mom, back in the day..." or "I love that classic 80's music". I have about five younguns (20-somethings) working under me that just love those "old 80's". UGH! Seriously, when did we start getting old?? And when did the 80's become CLASSIC? lol

I guess the more pressing question would be "how many of us wish we still had hair" not just high school hair, just any hair! hahaha

Yeah I can't believe how big our hair was either now alot of us have straight hair. How is everyone? I think this site is a great way to stay in touch with everyone.

I remember wearing combat boots to school with hospital scrubs once, can't remember why though.

Look in the yearbooks...you will find my name to be Gene in some of them.

This site brought a flood of memories, mostly good!

My poor kids are forced to listen to 80s music or classic rock on Syrius radio whenever in the car with me. I like to think of it as educating them! Pretty soon my son and I will be arguing over Sammy Hagar vs David Lee Roth!

So, do we have any famous folks from the class of 89? Just wondering if I can set my DVR to record anyone we graduated with...hahaha.

For years I thought Dixon was nothing to me but a rest stop in life, but looking back I realize there are so many rich memories and experiences, that I know it will always be where I call home. While I live in Iowa, and desire to move south to the warm weather, Dixon will always hold a place in my heart where home is.

When Reagan was in town once, the early 80's, for his birthday, I told my mom and step dad I wanted to go see the president. They wanted to get out of town, so they dropped me off in town. I was wearing a snomobile suit because it was very cold. I thought I would go visit Jeremy Bollman of Brian Cheshier afterwards, so I brought my BB gun pistol with me. It looked and felt exactly like a real 45cal pistol, no orange plastic like today's toy guns. I went towards the 1st street area where Reagan would speak and was just about to pass through the metal detectors when I realized I was about the enter an area guarded by secret service folks with a gun that looked like a real gun. I turned around and headed up the alley by the (Woolworth or Montgomery Wards - I forget), then ran all the way to Jeremy's house (next to Madison School) to ditch the gun. I was so scared the rest of the day because I thought I was being watched.

I had a fantastic time at the reunion. I hope everyone that came had as much fun. And if you didn't make it-you missed a great time and we did talk about you!

That was actually fun. I didn't stay late, but it was nice to see people from the past. It really makes me miss Dixon even more. Such a nice place. So many memories flooding back...
