Sara Thornton

Survived By: Ms. Sara Ouieda Thornton July 12, 1971 - January 20, 2008 Ms. Sara Ouieda Thornton, age 36, of Douglasville, GA passed away Sunday, January 20, 2008. She was born July 12, 1971 in Great Falls, MT. She was preceded in death by her father Bobby Joe Thornton; grandparents, Elbert and Ouieda Thornton, Earl and Bessie Sarah Garver. Sara was a former employee of Longhorn Steak House-Douglasville and she loved her Dallas Cowboys and music. She is survived by her mother Joan Thornton; sister Dana Thornton; sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Jim Rodgers; sister Kimberly Muesing; brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Amy Thornton; twin-brother Michael Thornton; partner Melissa Langridge; special friend Joseph Nunnally; nieces and nephews, Andrew Welch, Cole Rodgers, Clark Rodgers, Ashley Muesing, John Ryan Muesing, Taylor Thornton, Grace Thornton; loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

I remember Sara coming to my spend the night birthday party in the 6th grade. We all danced and sang and then we got the bright idea to pick Sara up by her hands and feet and swing her up into the air because she was so small. Somehow we ended up dropping her and she broke her wrist and had to go to the hospital to get a cast. Just a few years ago I met her sister in law, who now goes to church with me, and told her that story. She ran home and called Sara to tell her about it. Her niece overheard them talking and later asked me, "Why did you break Aunt Sara's arm?"
