Thinking of you all this evening. So sorry I am unable to be there, but just knowing about all the celebratin' going on has brought fond memories
To this great grandma. You all be safe now.
I first noticed Linda in a home economics class. Her family had moved from back east when her father passed away. She had been very close to him and felt the loss keenly. I approached her as she seemed shy and alone. We became good friends through high school, and she was maid of honor at my wedding. We solved many world problems in our frequent over nights at each other's homes. She would continue visiting after our children started arriving and would cook amazing meals for us. She moved to Phoenix and I lost track of her. She never married, but she was involved in a couple of serious relationships. I miss the honest conversations we shared. I know she is in a good place, and remembered in my prayers nightly.

We are almost neighbors. We're in Ramona!
I went to high school with Alana and remember her as a fun, kind girl whom you always felt comfortable with. She had a keen sense of fun and was a good friend to have in the tenuous years of high school. A humorous aside: her husband Tom and I were in a drama production of "The Matchmaker", later made into the musical "Hello Dolly". I had the part of Dolly and had to wear a period costume. We entered stage with Tom directly after me. He got great fun out of batting the bustle on my dress like a ping pong ball while awaiting our entrance. I have an idea this marriage was full of fun and much laughter. Rest in peace dear Alana, heaven is now a sweeter place.

Number four had me laughing out loud. Was Fr. Maurice the English priest? I remember it being the height of Beatles and anything English, when the senior girls were given a young English priest to teach religion. We peppered him with questions about sex and made him blush crimson.
