TURNER JR.
Private First Class Carl Anthony
Turner Jr. 24, United States Army,
Fort Carson Br., Colorado Springs,
Colo, died Sunday afternoon as the
result of a motorcycle accident.
. Born Nov. 17, 1958 in Pulaski, he is
the son of Carl Anthony .Turner Sr.
and Velma Louise Gunter Turner of
504 Jackson Ave., Pulaski.
He was a member of the Trinity
Uinted Methodist Church, Pulaski.
He was to have returned to his
parents '& home this week for a 20-day
leave before being assigned to Germany.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m.
from the Bower Funeral Home
Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev.
Lawrence Nuckolls officiating. .
Interment will follow in the
Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
Visiting will be any time Thursday
with the family receiving friends from
7 to 9 p.m. at the Bower Funeral
Home, Pulaski.
Pallbearers will be members of
the military.
Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski, Is
handling arrangements.

I believe "Carl" or "Tony" passed away around '80-'82 out West...Colorado I think. Motorcycle acc.

I remember Tony from way back. I recall walking to Jefferson Elementary in the early days. It was sort of like the episode of Andy Griffith when opie would walk to school & just around the corner would be the "The Boy"(Tony)waiting to take my, I mean his nickel. After we grew up we became really good friends. I remember him & Bobby Martin were real tight.

Moutain man Turner alot of us called him because he was a big man but would not hurt a fly .we would all get togather and go shooting guns he liked to do that very much in fact he had one gun of every shape and size .I remember one time he told all of us that he could shoot his 44mag with only one hand we all said no you cant. When he shot it the hammer on the gun hit him above the right eye at the same time he yelled out BATMAN why we dont know it cut him pretty bad but still us guys would yell out batman every time we saw him.he also played football one year on the B team the man didnt know how strong he was he would ask me how can i hit someone without hurting them?i would say you cant batman.another friend gone way before his time.sleep well.James Rupe
