Ronald Richard "Ronnie" Bradley, 63, of Key West, passed away on Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at home from a sudden illness.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, with the Rev. John O'Connor officiating. Burial will follow in Dubuque Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road.
Ronnie was born on June 11, 1950, in Dubuque, son of Merlin and Dorothy (Lindenberg) Bradley. He served in the 133rd Iowa National Guard.
He farmed near the Dubuque Airport all his life and formerly worked for Tri State Paving.
He was an avid collector and restorer of many tractors. He also enjoyed going to tractor pulls and participating in the WMT Tractorcade for many years. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and Swiss Valley Farm Co-Op.
He was an avid Green Bay Packer, Iowa Hawkeyes and Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed playing euchre. He enjoyed going to Key West Feed Store, Key West Coffee Club and Saturday morning breakfast with his boys and Pat. Most of all, Ronnie enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his three sons, Brian (Kim) Bradley, Mark (Kerry) Bradley and Jeff (Rachel) Bradley, all of Dubuque; grandchildren, Austin, Kyle, Jordan, Ava, AJ and Jaylyn; his brother, David (Darla) Bradley and his sister, Jane (Paul) Galle; his uncle and aunt, Richard and Mary Lou Bradley and their family, Dennis (Tina), Margie (Zip), Cheryl (Tim), and Joe (Julie).
He was preceded in death by his parents and a cousin Steve Bradley.
