Bruce R. Brillhart, age 76, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on July 29, 2025, at home while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Bruce’s life, family visitation will be held  at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church, on Thursday, August 7th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held immediately after visitation with Rev. Msgr. Lyle Wilgenbusch officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Monticello, IA, at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Bruce’s family.

Bruce was born on March 24, 1949, in Earlville, IA, son of Ralph and Jeanette (Budan) Brillhart.  He honorably served his country with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and devoted over 30 years of his working career with the United States Post Office before retiring in 2009.

Those left to cherish the memory of Bruce include, his loving wife of 28 years, Rosemary Brillhart, Dubuque, IA; his adored children, Doug (Angie) White, Asbury, IA, Lisa (Scott) Stevens, North Liberty, IA, and Amanda (Cody) Leigh, Tiffin, IA; his six grandchildren, Adrian, Shane, Olivia, Jacob, Benjamin, and Penelope; his siblings, Bill Brillhart, Bob Brillhart, Becki Marti, Barry Brillhart, and Belinda Reding; along with numerous extended family, friends, and neighbors.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Bonnie Brillhart, Betty Beckman, and Brent Brillhart.

In lieu of flowers and to honor Bruce’s love and countless volunteer hours working with children of disabilities, donations may be made in his memory to GiGi’s Playhouse, a Down Syndrome Achievement Center or Hospice of Dubuque.

Bruce’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Hospice of Dubuque for all of their professional and compassionate care.
