David F. Frick, 64, of Bellevue, Iowa passed away at 5:15a.m. Monday May 13, 2013 at Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue. 

According to his wishes there will be no public visitation or services. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Rd is in charge of arrangements. 

David was born on January 26, 1949 in Dubuque, Iowa the son of Frank “Bud” and Esther (Wachendorf) Frick.  He married Susan Roscamp on July 2, 1971 at St. Columbkille's Catholic Church in Dubuque. 

He was a self employed building contractor until health issues forced him to retire at age 50. 

He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed his escapades on his golf cart around the neighborhood and relaxing time with is cats. 

He is survived by his wife Sue, siblings Pam (Terry) Burns, of Zwingle, Jim Frick, of Dubuque, Tom (Michele) Frick of Peosta, Jeff (Jacquie) Frick, of Dubuque, his aunt Dorothy Frick, of Dubuque and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memory: Dave had a kidney transplant at Iowa City in 2002 which was very successful.  Aftte that he enjoyed life to the fullest.  In January of 2013 he haad a stroke due to afib.  He just never came back and I lost him May 13, 2013.He was an excellent carpenter and went out of his way to help anyone.  He was also the life of the party.  Everyone loved him.
