Robert Charles Hedrick, 63, of Dubuque, formerly of Waucoma, Iowa, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at ManorCare Health Services.

Memorial services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23 at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 Kennedy Road, with the Rev. Jack Redmond officiating. Military rites will be accorded by the Dubuque Marine Corps League. Friends may call from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Linwood Cemetery at a later date.

Bob was born on Sept. 16, 1950, in Dubuque, the son of Robert F. and Gertrude (Callahan) Hedrick. He graduated from Dubuque Senior High School.

Bob served our country in the Navy during the Vietnam War.

For more than 40 years, he was employed as a tool-and-die maker in Iowa and California. On May 1, 2011, Bob retired from Precision of New Hampton, New Hampton, Iowa. He had previously worked at Dura in West Union, Iowa.

Bob enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of the American Legion and the NRA.

Surviving are his sister, Barbara (Richard) Dolter; a niece, Angela (Jason) Shook; and two nephews, Russell Dolter and Alan (Sasha Ratkewiez) Dolter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Hedrick and Gertrude LuGrain; maternal grandparents, Charlie (Helen) Callahan; and paternal grandparents, Emil (Ella) Hedrick.
