Elizabeth Ann Krayer Cordell, 68, of Hickory, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Cordell was born March 5, 1950, in Dubuque, IA, to the late Donald Krayer and Shirley Avery Krayer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Luther Cordell, and a brother, Andrew Krayer. She was a member of First United Methodist Church-Hickory and was retired from Hickory Village Memory Care. She helped start Project Heart and was an assistant to the director at Hilltop Apartments.

Survivors include three daughters, Zora Kadel, of Nashville, TN, Tifany Reiter and boyfriend Reggie Mayfield, of Hickory, NC, and Ashley Cordell and husband Lee Johnson, Jr., of Granite Falls, NC; three grandsons, Tristan Payne, Ethan Cordell and Hayden Surratt; three granddaughters, Kierra Payne, Kalista Cordell Johnson and Kya; two sisters, Martha Krayer, of Davenport, IA and Michele Krayer, of Nashville, TN; nephew, John Krayer and wife Crissy; and a niece, Lynn Krayer-Luke and husband Jason.

The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018, in the Chapel at Bass-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dan Duke officiating.
