Gregory Robert Sauser

SHILOH, N.C. — Gregory R. Sauser, 74, passed away on June 13, 2025, in Shiloh, North Carolina.

Born in Dubuque, Iowa, on June 29, 1950, Gregory was known for his deep love for family gatherings, particularly enjoying his time with his children and grandchildren, as well as attending his Senior High School reunions. Gregory proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War, stationed on the Floyd B Parks. His commitment to service was a significant part of his life. After his military service, he ventured into entrepreneurship, owning several businesses and later working as a Medicare Supplement insurance agent.

He is survived by his children, Meghan (Greg) Catts and their children Olivia, Charlotte, and Mason of Lewes, Delaware; and Stephen Sauser of Baltimore, Maryland. His siblings Randy Sauser, Shawn (Sandy) Sauser, Douglas Sauser, and Mary (Jim) Patch also survive him.

Gregory was preceded in death by his parents, Robert G and Leona Sauser; brothers Gary, Robert D, and John; and his nieces Vanessa Sauser and Amber Rodas, along with his nephew Joshua Sauser. His grandparents John and Elizabeth Sauser, Veronica Errthum, and Samuel Menadue, along with many aunts and uncles, also preceded him in death.

A celebration of life for Gregory will be scheduled at a later date.
