John Phillip Wolfe, 64, of Piedmont, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, May 20th, 2013, at the VA Medical Center in Oklahoma City. John was born Jan. 31st, 1949, at Arcadia, Wisconsin, to the late Joseph Oscar and Donna Koala Wolfe. He graduated from Dubuque Senior High School, Dubuque, Iowa, in 1968 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, honorably serving a four year tour, mostly in Alaska, from 1968-1972.

John is survived by five brothers: Walter, of Epworth, IA, Donald, of DubW.uque, IA, Jeffrey, of Piney Flats, TN, and Michael of Clarksville, TN; three sisters: Lorraine D. of Piedmont, Sherry G., of Lenexa, KS, and Amanda W. of Clarksville, TN; many nephews and nieces, and numerous friends across the country. In John's later years he avidly pursued an interest in the recovery and documentation of meteorite artifacts, something that gave him great pleasure.

Memorial services were held at First Baptist Church of Piedmont on Friday, May 24th, with Pastor Randy McCown officiating and military funeral honors rendered by an active duty Air Force Honor Guard from Tinker AFB in OKC. Cremation. Arrangements were by OK Cremation & Mortuary Service of Oklahoma City.

Webstie Editor's note: I could find no references to John in any of our yearbooks.  The only reference is an entry on our Commencement Program.  There are others I have found as I maintain this site who have no other or conflicting entries, yet appear on the program.  I speculate they may have completed graduation requirements through GED or some similar process, and wanted to go through the process.  Nonetheless, he graduated with us and is treated as a classmate.
