Classmates on the missing list are classmates that for one reason or another we have no address or email.
Our goal is to invite all our classmates to the 50th Reunion by directing them to this website. Here is the official reunion invitation and registration information. Email is the preferred communication method with road addresses being next.
Here are some tools.
- https://www.classmates.com This is an odd site. It looks so promising but then it sort of goes down a rabbit hole. If one of our missing classmates seems to be reachable this way, we may want to buy a subscription.
- Facebook Many classmates have been found this way, but there may be some still out there to be discovered. Not all people on Facebook check their messages. Right now, if a person is on Facebook but has not responded to a message, we still consider them missing.
- Google-Just put a naame in a search engine and see what happens. I have found people when locating the obituary of member of their family. Obituaries often list survivors and where they are living.
- https://www.ancestry.com Generally used for genealogy projects but is useful for locating people too. Social Security Death Index is in this site
- https://www.publicrecords.info Charges $1.00 a report. Have not tried it. May be worth it. If it is, you can be reimbursed for your cost.
- https://howtoinvestigate.com/local.htm - this site has so many public records, but it is easy to get lost
