Worked at the Natal Parks Board from 1973 to 1993; Sappi Ltd from 1993 to 2003; formed my own CC (ForestLore Consulting) in 2004 and have been at it ever since

What has happened in your Life since your school days (apart from work),

Attended the University of Natal in Pietermaritzburg from 1967 and graduated with a M.Sc in 1974. Completed a Ph.D at Wits and graduated in 1983
I have run the Comrades (16 times permanent number 6543), Two Oceans, Mont-aux-Sources Challenge (permanent number 30), Rhodes Ultra-Marathon (permanent number 141), many other local ultra-marathons as well as the New York City Marathon and the San Francisco Marathon. Completed the Argus Cycle Race 7 times, and other road and MTB races.
Survived living in JHB for five years and am now living in the KZN Midlands....pure bliss

I will always remember Rob for his great smile and sociable nature. A sad day for his family. Thanks for letting us know Mike. My best wishes to his family during their grieving. He certainly made his presence on planet earth a success.

Such sad news. A man that defied the odds that were thrown at him in his youth. Much admired his school sporting achievements and was lucky to run a number of Comrades with him during his Hilton days.

I remember you now!! Seeing the old picture had all the memories come rushing back!! But there was no way I would have recognised the profile of today!! You have improved with age!! I live in the area you call home...
