I played a lot of basketball after I left school and went to the army for 9 months in 1967. I was selected for the Natal Colts team (Natal juniors), then I played for the Natal team for many years I was selected to play for the Under 23 Springbok Team, and went to the South African Games in Bloemfontein in 1969. In 1973 I was selected as the MVP for Natal. After I returned from my military service I joined Pirates Surf Lifesaving Club and stayed until February 1971 when I left for my 2 year Church Mission. I also played a lot of squash, and volleyball. I ran a lot, and swam a lot and surfed. Now I suffer from Post Polio Syndrome, having had Polio when I was 8, and now spend most of my time in bed.

Hey boetie ! How are you doing over there in Darkest Africa ? I trust you are well. You ought to be commended for your sterling efforts in connection with the class reunion. I'm sorry I will not be able to make it, but my health issues prevent me from traveling too far. Some people enjoy good health and some people enjoy bad health. I'm in the latter category. I don't complain, that's just my lot in life. Fortunately I have a good wife who takes care of me. Keep up the good work. I see Denzil Andrews and Mike Mun-gavin also help a lot. Please give them my regards. Life is great.

I am on the right, and my younger brother Sorrel (class of 1967) both served a 2 year mission for the Mormon church.

For those who remember Vincent Robinson (Class of 1967), I married his sister Shelagh, who went to Maris Stella. She also obtained a BSc (Biology) from University of Natal. We were married Dec 29, 1973.
