Butch had a severe stroke in 1998 and has been in a wheelchair since. He depends on me for everything, but is a joy to take care of, which makes it much easier.
We had a trailer by Mikana (Rice Lake) for 27 yeas, but sold it 3 years ago. Great memories and ton's of fun in the prime of our lives.
Shirley Neff married my brother Kenny who passed away when he was 37 of leukemia. Shirley passed away in 2011. They had five children, and have contact with them, they all live in Mn. Miss her a lot.
We still have Eau Claire Printing for the last 45 years, 2 of our children run it. We usually print things for our class of "1960", thanks to our classmates. We have a website, but don't know the actual name of it, just know it is under Google, probably look under books, Eau Claire Printing. Lot's of changes in all of those years. My husband always says since his stroke 14 years ago, he would be a dinasour now in the changes he kid's have made.
Used to enjoy golf a lot and went twice a week. Fished a lot for years, even fly fished. Was hard to give that up after selling our trailer.
Retired in 2008 from our Print shop. Help out once in awhile in the bindery, but get's hard on the body after years of doing it. lol
"2009" Story
What a wonderful idea to do this. Thank You, Loretta and anyone else involved for doing this, sure it was a lot of work. Very thoughtful. Anxious to hear from people. Seems like the older we get, the more we think of our classmates.
Bernie Nelson
Fishing, getting together with our family every chance we get. Watching our grandkid's grow. No great grandkid's yet. Enjoy being on the computer. Have quite a few flower gardens. Keeps me busy most of the summer, but enjoyable to sit outside and look at what I have done.
Our 9 grandchildren are form 27, to 6, so a good range and always something different going on always. No great grandchildren yet, but excited to have some.
Like to be on the computer. Good way to have easy contact with family and friends and can do it late at night, when I have free time. lol Like meeting classmates at the mall when they get together. Have gotten to know some much better, and even get together once in awhile.
Added a picture of some friends we had over. Might be underneath my class picture. Hope you know some of them. Added some wedding pictures of our grandaughters wedding on 8-21-10 Not letting me write who they are. Our 50th anniversary same weekend. Have 9 grandchildren and they were all in the wedding.
Our family
My husband for the way he has handled his stroke and accepted relying on me. We handle a difficult situation very well. He never complains. Our (4) children. Two took over our business within a day, after Butch's stroke in 1998. Had to learn how to run a big press even. lol Our 9 grandchildren. What a joy each one is. Think grandchildren think grandparents can't do anything wrong and are all so good to us and caring.
St. Paul, Mn. until I was 7 then to Oshkosh, then lovely Eau Claire and Randall School. Old Jr. high, old Senior High, and then Memorial. Met Lynn Everson in 7th grade and still my best friend.
Met my husband the end of my sophmore year, and he was four years older, so we mostly went to movies and McDonalds, when HE could afford the nickel or dime hamburgers. Funny, as we met at Sammy's pizza through friends, and we never went back there. Sounds like it was a great hangout for our class. Now it is our favorite pizza and get together with family.
Do as much as you can do, as you never know when life changes.
Just have fun, and be kind.
Our family. That I can help my husband after his stroke. He has a lot of friends from my class, and they all know what a GREAT guy he is. Our kid's are always there for us.

Happy Birthday Nancy. Was nice seeing you over a year ago. Time seems to go by so fast. I see Julie Gabus every year, for about the last ten years. Her and her husband would come visit us at our house. Still stay in touch with Carolyn (Pete) Peterson too. Lynn (Everson) one of my closed friends has some memory problems and go see her a lot. Shirley Neff, sure you remember her, was my other close friend, and she passed away 7 years ago. She married my brother Kenny, and he died at 37 of leukemia, and left her with 5 kids. Gerrie Geisert also died 10 years ago. Doesn't seem possible all of that has happened, we are suppose to be young yet. Enjoy your day, glad you and Steve found each other again.
Happy Birthday, Loretta. Hope it was great day for you. Missed seeing you at the mall today.
OPS ... ALMOST missed the day. About 20 minutes left of your birthday. God bless you and hope your day was a blessing from morning until night. Hugs from Tx. Gary & Sharon
