Mike, I read this somewhere and it seems appropriate....Count your life by smiles, not tears. Count your age by friends, not years. Happy birthday!

Hi Bill, another year in the bag. Best wishes to you and yours on Turkey Day. Lonne
Jim, you have my deepest condolences. I can recall how much time you two spent together during our high school years and beyond. You were virtually inseparable and your love was unwavering.. May all your wonderful memories comfort you during this heartbreaking time.

Hi Bill, happy b'day to the left coast. At least the weather is nice for outside dining. Stay healthy. Lonne
It was such a shock to hear of Mike's passing. I am still trying to get over the tragic news. I've known Mike since I was 5 or 6 yrs old and spent most of my youth with him and the IC East Side kids. During the summer we were either at the Lee Street sandlot playing baseball, riding bikes to the Half Moon or hanging at someone's house at night until dark. During the off-season (fall/winter} sports didn't end as we played tackle football across from his house on the Regis field or shoveled snow off Theisen's driveway to play basketball, skating at Lee Street or just all hanging out together. I still can smell the pizza we used to make at Mike's house on Saturday nights. Alot of fun innocent times. As we got older, life got in the way but we remained good friends even from a distance, always checking in to see how things were going. Our last conversation was about meeting in Door County and playing a round of golf....he never mentioned his ailment. Guess I'll have to get that round in with him when we meet again........
Mike was a proud man. He was very unassuming, never heard him use foul language or get angry at anyone. Mike was well thought of by everyone who knew him and he will be sorely missed. RIP my brother!!
