I was sad to read that Caroline had died.  I remember her as happy, smart, and full of energy! According to her obit she moved to California after graduating from college and then to Colorado, enjoyed skiing and hiking in the mountains.  She passed away on November 25th just a few days from her birthday November 28th.  She was married in 1984 and moved to Durango, Co.  She has a daughter and son. She will be missed!

You can read her obit by googling her name.  May she rest in peace....

Yes, I was sad to hear about Caroline Reeves death also.  We were cheerleaders together so we had lots of time at games and practices to share and spend time together.  Caroline was bubbly, high energy, a leader, a take charge person and very smart. I haven't seen her for many years, but it sounds like she had a good life in Colorado.  She will be deeply missed by family and friends.

It is unbelievable that some of our classmates are now dying. Time is going by too rapidly. Seems like yesterday when we were all carefree teenagers just trying to grow up. Caroline was a darling girl! It sounds like she had a wonderful life and family. She will be missed

RIP

Caroline was a lifelong friend and a person I totally admired. Over the last several decades we have kept in touch mainly through e-mails and occasional phone calls. I visited her once in Durango and she came back to Mpls. a few times. Caroline was so capable, and so wise. She was athletic, a talented artist and a person who had a vast array of interests. For many years she had enjoyed teaching Spanish in the local elementary schools. She also coached soccer and went on many adventure vacations with her family. She loved her life in Durango where she had close friends and could enjoy the beauty of the mountains. Caroline married Mac who is a doctor and shares her love of the outdoors. In our last e-mail exchange just two and a half weeks before she died, Caroline described Mac as "the best 24/7 nurse anyone could have." She so wanted to die at home, which she did surrounded by Mac and their two children, Tessa and Milo. Her cancer had been diagnosed a little over 4 years ago. During those years she went through aggresive treatment, but was also able to travel to the Grand Canyon, Costa Rica, California and the east coast. Caroline was always someone who kept moving forward and finding new ways to enjoy life. It was a true blessing for me to be her friend and I miss her so much!

I live near Boulder, about 350 miles from Durango, CO where Caroline lived with her husband, Mac. I don’t remember how it happened, but, in 2011, I learned that Caroline and I were “neighbors.”  I enthusiastically reached out to her and we reconnected. Over the last five years until her recent passing, we stayed in contact and saw each other several times. Though her illness was progressing throughout these years, Caroline remained positive. She was athletic (skiing, hiking, cycling, traveling) and active (painting, playing the fiddle and singing) as long as she could. I so admire her courage and grace throughout these last years!
