2012:
I married Mark April 30, 1983 and I have been working for Mark's family owned business since 1984. I take care of the books, payroll, etc. and fill in for the recptionist some. We have about 10 full time employees. I help Mark about three days a week at the office and still consider myself a "stay at home mom" the rest of the week. Our daughter graduated from Poyen High School in 2008. She just completed her first four years of college in Arkadelphia and is now attending a college in Conway. She plans to graduate with a masters in food science (dietetics) August of 2013. She absolutely loves what she is doing and we are very proud of her. She's a keeper!
Mark and I have just celebrated our 29th Anniversary down in Mobile, Alabama. We are very involved in Super Late Model Dirt Track Racing on the weekends, and we love "getting away" together. He's a keeper too!
2022:
I am loving life as a Wife, Mother, and Grandmother.
Most of my husband's family live nearby and we meet together for family gatherings often at the old home place.
I lost Daddy in 2020. It was the hardest loss our family has sustained. Mother still remains there in Edmond. Sarah Busbee Herron (Sister) moved to Edmond a few months after he passed.
2021 was the busiest year I ever remember. We were very blessed to have
family survive hurdles throughout the year. By God's amazing grace, it was a miracle year.
(2018) My husband, Mark, sustained an injury on the farm that semi handicapped him, and we soon leased our farm and sold all the Angus cows. We now look back and know that we did the right thing. Mark still runs the family heating and air business, with our children moving into the managing position. We have around 22 employees now.
We raised some Dorper Sheep from 2018-2021. We have a Border Collie that is trained to herd cattle. We keep 3 horses for the family that leased our farm. They include a retired quarter horse that won the finals in Vegas, Team Roping. (2012) ...and two Shetland Ponies.
We own a 17 year old cross back donkey that is a watch dog for the cows/calves on the farm, and one Palomino horse which we purchased last year.
We lost a Miniature Long Hair Dachshund last year. She was our Grand Dog but lived with us full time. We have a cat and several deer hunting dogs as well.
