According to my folks, I've been a career killer! LOL I went to college as a computer programmer in '82, by the time I graduated there were no jobs available. Fine...go to electronics school, became a tech and after 15 years of work a junior engineer for Seagate. Quit, have a kid, raise him and realize I need a career because I'm not the stay at home kind. At 42 I returned to college and completed my teaching degree in Jan. 2010...right before the budget cuts mean, yup you guessed it, no jobs available! Worked as a substitute until a job opened up. I'm now in my 12th year teaching in the same district.
