Mario - LOL on Bridget. Every friend I have keeps asking me if she's single. :)

Mary, that was so sweet of you to say. LOL By the way, let's get the SF group up to the wine country soon. You and your friends kick a$$ and Tori and I had a fantastic time!

Dan, it was equally cool to see you once you got down to Austin, I'm only bummed we didn't meet up more when we were both down there. I wondered if you remembered our brief time out there. That was very cool.

Jeff, definitely cool in CN, however, if you're going to visit Mario, make sure you do it in the next couple of months. Come November, I want no part of the NE. Anytime you head up to SF, please let me know.

Wait a minute! That's not a mustang it's a bronco. Looks pretty damn cool to me. It will be especially purdy painted on the 50 Yard line.

You know that picture makes me wonder about the Loya Party and maybe, just maybe, what was going on and the "real" reason why the police showed up! Hmmmmm!???

Lance!!!!never had any doubt. Mario...you have a way with capturing the most compromising moments on film. Everyone better be on their best behavior at the reunion and pre- parties. :)I agree with Mary. Didn't even talk to many of u in high school (I was never there). But its great making new friends.

But you have to email me your address people!!!!!Don't worry I wont give out your address or stalk you. Laredo is way too far away and gas is too expensive to stalk LOL.

Alright, enough with the polls... They're entertaining, but let's really put some people on the spot. Since I am not going to be able to attend the reunion, let's start posting some questions and see who's ready to bare truth! :)

So who was your secret crush during high school?

I had many and I'll divulge if I have any takers. :)

Rik Avalos

Hey Rene, I tried sending you an e-mail, but the site kept giving me more and more codes to put in and they didn't work. Just thought I'd say hello...

06/27/08 06:36 PM #390

Rene Lopez

Tell me about it Rik, about a week ago I noticed the "a la" myspace anti-spam codes. I hate does suckers, it always takes me a while to get them right.

Such a shame... I have such a lousy memory. I don't remember the name of the girl(s) I had a crush on (how convenient, ha?).

06/27/08 06:57 PM #391

Rebecca Zambrano (Morales)

NO WAY!!!! I never had a "secret" crush. If I liked you, you knew it. (Those of you who were my crush know this to be true). So Rik, you know you are dying to tell us....Just divulge!!!
Hey everyone Melissa is in Vegas as we speak please help me let her know we are thinking of her and drop her a line

Hey all! Couldn't keep quiet any longer. I've enjoyed this web site so much!

Mary Gonzalez, you and I grew up with each other. Attended little girl birthday parties together, etc. Of course I remember you and I love your profile! You look fantastic, and very happy.

Just seeing these pictures of the senior trip makes me wish I wasn't always so busy swimming! It looks like it was a blast.

Mario...........how ya doin'? I think even I managed to get to that fateful party. By the way, I am happy to see that Burges high school has borrowed that picture they painted on the football field from the FINEST NFL team around......we are justin a rebuilding phase. How the hell did we let Jason Elam go? Shesh. He was the guy who scored the most points for the Broncos last year.

To all the rest of you..........It's been an absolute blast to check out where everybody is now. You all are doing so well! My only regret about high school these days was that I didn't spend enough time with the Burges crowd.......always swimming swimming swimming. I wish I would have known more of you better.

I'll tell if you'll tell, Rik.

Mary Gonzalez (Henderson)

Wow, Christy! Just looked at your profile -- you look fantastic! And what an adventurous life you lived these 20 years.

Totally remember all those elementary school parties!

My boys are HUGE Red Sox fans -- we were in Boston in August on our way to Maine. It was such a whirlwind trip and I really regret not getting them over to Fenway... My oldest was looking over my shoulder when I saw your profile and the Fenway pic so I got to hear "Aw! I don't know who that is but she's lucky! SHE got to go to Fenway!" ;b

06/27/08 08:02 PM #394

Cristine Marie Hafen

Mary! Hey ya! Sooooo good to hear from you!

Those parties........with you, Sandra Parra, Heather Hadad, Shelly Ramos (where the heck is she, anyway?), Cindy Ramirez (I think she's in Houston, and I know she's a Vet) and a bunch of others. Slumber parties where we were either trying to scare each other to death or listening to Journey.

Yes, I got to go to see the Sox last summer! It's fun to be a Red Sox Fan.........unless you live in Colorado when the Rockies made their run and played in the World Series. I was in a moral quandry. BUT.....Fenway is a great venue! Go see 'em before they rip the place down like Yankee Stadium! Loads and loads of fun....tiny ball park, too.

Seems like most of my memories growing up with alot of you guys is either from the Blue Dolphin swimming pool (Jen Barr and I with moss grean hair, John Alvarez and the rest of his wonderful family there, and alot of others). Also, being my mother's choirs with all you guys, or your big/little brothers and sisters. She sends her regards to all of you guys! She misses those days.

Glad to see I am not as ignorant as I was thinking I was (still dumb as hell). This site does have a couple of glitches. Nevertheless, ladies...nothing against you all, this is an amazing site. Rik, I have experienced a couple of problems with this as well.

So Mary, so good to see your boys are fans of the BEST TEAM IN BASEBALL!!! I drive my wife crazy with all my rants about the Sox! So again, I pose the question...is Aceitunas a good place for the 3rd for those who will be in EL Paso then?? Just checking. Rene, dame tu email Sexote!!! Para ponernos de acuerdo.

Mario, those are some good pictures! By the way, that does seem to resemble too much a burro err, "Bronco"!!
So long as the colors dont change.

I may not be able to make the reunion either, so good questions, Rik!

I can only remember one secret crush that I had at the time and the odds of her getting on this forum, much less showing up at the reunion, are probably fairly low, but I always thought Caroline Tellez was/is GORGEOUS! Of course, I think i spoke all of perhaps 10 words to her.

I found out that if I use 'Safari' I don't have the problem with the non-spam codes, but if I use Firefox, it's a pain. Whatever... sorry, I am a MAC user. :)

06/27/08 08:31 PM #398

Rik Avalos

Okay, my time at Burges was taken up by a girlfriend I had at Andress, but she tore my heart apart my junior year... the secret crush I had was with...

"Gina Massey"

06/27/08 08:34 PM #399

Dan Pedroza

I use Firefox, no problems (PC)

and Rik, get in line. I could probably name a dozen guys who had not-so-secret crushes on her.

06/27/08 09:08 PM #400

Mario Loya

Rik,
You play guitar. You sport a soul patch. You spell your name a clever way --> of course you use a Mac.

Chris Hafen, good to hear from you. You certainly do seem to be living an interesting life. I have good memories of Blue Dolphin and choir class with your mom. Do you remember I hit you on the forehead with a metal baseball bat during recess at MacArthur? I felt really bad about it, but don't think I ever apologized. So, here it goes. Sorry.

Secret crushes at Burges = Mrs. Shram, Mrs Valenzuela, Mrs. Deringer, and sometimes Sepcowitz. And some schoolgirls that will remain nameless.

06/27/08 09:12 PM #401

Rik Avalos

LOL Dan...

I also had a crush on let's see... Mary Gonzalez, Adeline Rogers, Chris Hafen, Jennifer Shukitt, Sandra Parra, Patsy Imai, Michelle Contreras, the list goes on and on... geez... what a dawg! LOL
