Lisa....I am serious about this....Why don't you contact Aquanet and see if they will sponsor it. I know you are donating it (So awesome of u). But maybe they can help raise money for it and the donation/scholarship. I would have to say fashion of the 80's would be a good theme for it. All the hair. Girls and Guys alike could be showcased. Or cars. Pictures of off all those awesome cars....I'm sure are plenty pictures of the parking lot

Interested in Chico’s Recipe, too!!!!

It is so funny because last week I got a Chico’s Recipe and I have not tried it. So I will try it and provide it if it is Good!!! Since Becky's is a known "Good", I must try it!!!

Tacos, ground beef, pepper, salt ,garlic powder to taste.
Roll tacos and fry. This is the most time consuming part. You will want to take a shower after cause you'll smell "a puro taco."

Sauce- Big can of stewed tomatoes, pureed. add salt pepper, dash of comino( ground Cumin) fresh onion(small sliver). Puree together. boil and add lots of water probably 2-3 cans of water (i like it watery, once you add the cheese it rues up)

Chili- 6 boiled tomatillos, and about 2 or 3 boiled jalapenos, puree in a blender add fresh garlic cloves about 2 or three, and salt to taste

Cheese......Apply for Wic. You will need birth certificate for all your kids or a visibly pregnant belly, If you happen to misplace your child's birth certificate or you are Lizzie Abilez (who happens to have no evidence of childbirth in the past three months) a leaky engorged breast may be substituted (all you moms know what i am talking about). Liz looks awesome
THE CHEESE IS VERY IMPORTANT.
Buy the block of American Cheese at the grocery store. Make sure its the block and that it says American Cheese.
Top your tacos with the sauce that should be still boiling hot and cheese. And think of Becky as you partake. Optional ingredients....Hard red booth, maggots, a security guard standing outside your house who checks you out and calls you Mamasita.
Any other thoughts on what makes chicos complete?

Ooooo, I'm trying them out this weekend! I'll have to see if I can get my gringo hubby to call me "Mamasita" without sounding like a surfer dude... Then it'll really feel like home... ;)

There's definitely nothing like Chico's here in WA, and no one would understand it if there was. I'm going to try this at home, thank you Becky.

When in El Paso, Chicos, Wienerschnitzel, and Cattleman's are required stops for me.

I missed Chicos Tacos so much that I had my grandmother buy a whole bunch, freeze everything separately (tacos, cheese, and sauce), and bring them to Florida on the airplane. They tasted great! I am also going to try the recipe. I still cannot get my husband and boys to eat them. Too bad - more for me!

Those must be 'Cadillac' Chico's Tacos, because the cheese I remember having (don't get me wrong, I love it too) is somewhere from the processed cheese section, not something as cool as 'American Cheese'. :)

Becky, thanks for the recipe, my brother and I have tried for years to come up with the recipe with little luck. All we got were very soggy store bought tacos that were nothing like the original. I am going to forward if you don't mind.

The band 202 who will be playing at the reunion in August will start playing at 10pm but Lorena will get the girls together and get some table ok Lorena? I will be late because of work but I will be there. Can't wait to see you all again and for those of you with cams bring them. hope to see you all there.

Class Creator has completed making all of its Upgrades. So our site should work faster and better. I know some of you were having some problems.

You guys were not kidding when you said the next gathering will be on the east side.

Count me in for this mini reunion. I can walk home from that bar and avoid a DUI. Call me Chris if you're going for sure.

Wow! I thought it was just me that loved Chico's so much. My other favorites are Smitty's BBQ on airport and montana. I say you post my recipe for chicos on the side Edna. So many people expressed interest in the recipe but the johnny come latelys might not see it. Maybe the reunion should be catered by them JK.

Easy Chico's Recipe

Delimex Taquitos (in frozen section)
15 oz. can Rotel (Tomatoes and green chile)
Bag of Velvetta shredded cheese (in dairy section)

Fry taquitos until done.
Blend Rotel and 2 cups of water. Then simmer.
Then serve with hot salsa as replacement for green sauce.

Hope you all enjoy.
