Buzz, it is about time you stated telling stories about the things you did and stop making fun of people who look like they can those peanuts hurt. Any way I really want to let you know that we wish the best for you, Nasser and any of our other brothers and sister that are serving our counrty. Hey all - I just found the message forum page. I was surprised to see that so people still live in El Paso. Wow!
Derrick you haven't blocked too much about El Paso - it only snows here once every 4-5 years but the schools will still close their doors at the hint of snow. Last year the stupid schools closed because the weather forecasters (and I use that term loosely) said that we would have a 100% chance of snow. And guess what...nothing happened. But that's El Paso. :)

But I did a stupid thing and ask my mom to remind me if it was cold in El Paso when we lived there ...yep next thing I knew she broke out the photo album and once again I was reminded about how thin I was?and how much hair I had?? Funny enuff I still don't remember..Oh well I still remember the good times!! we laughed alot during those Student Council Meetings and functions!!

Hey Derrick!! I do remember Student Councel and all the laughs we had. Lots of good times. Let's not talk about the thin thing. I lost my girlish figure long ago. 3 babies and I didn't try hard enough to lose the baby weight once I gained it. But on the bright side I still have a shape - ROUND is a shape still right?!?!? HA!

Greetings all. I look forward to seeing you at the reuninon. Something pretty cool coming up at Irvin this fall. The Football field is being taken out and new turf field being put in. The best part though is the football field will be called Tony Shaw Field at Irvin Memorial Stadium. I think the dedication will be at the 4th game of season or Homecoming maybe it is both. When I have the exact date I will post. When it is dedicated Coach Shaw will be there. It would be great for the old Rockets, not just football players to be there. Coach Shaw deserves this honor. To all Irvin Alumn, unfortunate news today. Gabriel Gonzalez passed away on July 1, 2009 at approx 1430 hrs. He was a great friend. Eventhough we lost contact over the years, I had the oppurtunity to speak with him these last couple of weeks. It was like we never stopped talking. Viewing is on Sunday July 5 from 4-8 at San Jose Funeral Home East. Rosary is at 6:30. Mass on Monday July 6 at 9:30 am at San Ignacio. From there to Ft Bliss Cemetery as he was an Air Force officer.

OK Rockets! Basilio is having to return to duty Tuesday morning - which means he won't make it on Friday & Saturday. We are thinking maybe coffee between 7-8 pm. Need to know if anyone is in town tomorrow (7/27) that can make it. Send me a note. Hope there are some rockets that can make it!!!
OK - Here is my thought - I am not sure where everyone is located. So the most central spot I can figure is the Starbucks on Airway and the freeway. We can start there and then if we want to do something else we can decide at that point. I am figuring between 7:30 - 8:00pm. I will be there as early as possible as my husband gets off work about that time. Let me know if you have any other questions. .
