Below is a picture from the 2021 Irvin Alumni Rendezvous that occurred 18-21 Oct 2021 in Ruidoso.  While we had considerably fewer attendees this year and were not able to meet each evening at the Wendell’s Lounge, we think everyone still had a good time.

The Planning Committee has decided a change of venue for the 2022 Rendezvous is in order.  This was the fifth year the Rendezvous has been held in Ruidoso and we feel it is time for a change.  We are proposing the 2022 Rendezvous be held either in Las Cruces, NM, or El Paso, TX.  There are several hotels here in Las Cruces that have a restaurant and lounge on their premises.  Las Cruces also has some fantastic Mexican food restaurants, six brew pubs that also serve food and is very close to Old Mesilla.  Of course, similar amenities can also be found in El Paso.  If you think you might be interested in attending next year, please let Pam Cotten or myself know which location you prefer.  We will make a location decision based on the feedback we receive.

During the 2022 Rendezvous, we will form a planning committee to discuss whether we wish to continue with future Rendezvous and if so, how and where we will conduct them.  We are hoping the Rendezvous will continue to be a tradition where Irvin Alumni (especially those who have celebrated their 50^th Reunions) can informally get together each year if they wish.  Our previous mini-Reunions and Rendezvous have been very enjoyable and a lot of fun.
