After high school, i attended Glenville State College ans majored in English and biological science. I taught one year at Lewis County High before moving in 1967. I planned to stay a year. After turning down a job, I subbed at the high school for a semester. Our daughter was born the summer of ‘68. She was followed by a son in the summer of ‘70. When the children were in kindergarten a d second grade, I started keeping children of working parents since day care was not yet available. I stayed with this for several years, added one more child to our family, and then illness in the family spurred me to renew my teaching certification and to go on sub list again, but only for a year. I was given a full tile job where I started teaching English and not ling after biology. I spent 20 years at Rioley High school. Once I had two older kids in college, I spent summers attaining a madters degree in Communication in Education. I have been retired ( sort of) for several years now. I still have a substitute teaching contract, and I am a certified Pilates i structor. I coordinate the local high school AP program. My hobbies now are tending to 4 dogs — two purebred dachshund girls ( Lucy Gail, and Hannah Rose) and two dachshund mixed boys (Clyde Eric and Oliver Gordon). I sew, knit, and crochet quite a bit. I actually hate housework and only occasionally like to cook.
