Do you remember in our senior year they tried to make Cafeteria “A” a senior lounge? Seniors could go there if they had a study hall. It wasn’t very conducive to “lounge”.

Do they still have choir in the basement?

We saw the band room across from the auditorium but I did not see a choir room in the basement. My sister and I went into the girls locker room. That was different. No Leader Corp room and no office for the girls PE teachers. The lockers were all pushed up against the walls with a big space in the middle.

Library was in the same space but lots of computers.

They also have a science research lab.

No Leader Corps room? Unheard of - heresy! How could they do that? That was the best thing about LC - getting to hang out with friends - right Carrie?

Yes! I'm not even sure they have a Leader Corps at Elmont. That is a shame since it was a great organization to be in.I remember all the fun times we had.Pawling Weekend!! We had the candlelight induction ceremony, too. No study halls!!White LC uniforms! Good memories!

Thank you all for your Birthday Wishes. Spent a nice day at the pool, looking at the mountains, beautiful 80's and sunny. Then spent the afternoon, in the cool shade reading a book. It was a nice way to spend my summer lazy hazy B'day!

James Tufano, class of 1966, was wondering if anyone heard of a reunion for his class. But it would be nice to have a 45 year reunion.

Where is everyone?? Thought in our current heat wave everyone would be on the computer!!

Seems like we were just complaining about snowstorms and now its heat waves!! We are hotter than Florida.

I would love to attend a 45 year reunion!

I have some sad news.  I spoke with Lenore Krieger last night.  She called to tell me that her brother, David Krieger, died of a heart attack in March.  How very sad for her family.

To think that 3 of us died within the last few months. This is a sobering thought. I guess this is what happens, but it is still shocking to me.

I saw David about five years ago.  He looked wonderful & fit and trim.  He had recently gotten married for the second time, and was a newlywed.   He told me how truly happy he and his new wife were, and that they cherished every moment they spent together.    May he rest in peace.

It was shocking and saddening to hear of 3 classmates' recent passing. It reminds you to live life to the fullest and take nothing for granted.

About a 45th reunion - I'm definitely interested!

Carrie,   My brother's best friend is married to a Scerbo who graduated EMHS a few years before us.  However, I think that Johnny might be Elyse's brother.  Eleyse Scerbo graduated with us.   She has a profile here, so you might want to drop her an email.
