It may not be snowing, but it's only 30 degrees here in Naples, FL.  When I took the dogs out for a walk this morning there was so much frost on the houses and lawns, it looked like snow.

Have a very Happy New Year everyone.

Sabina

Happy New Year to everyone, especially Susan and her family, and anyone else who isn't starting out 2011 so great.  Haven't seen snow for a very long time.  Be careful what you wish for--took  my 5 year old granddaughter to NYC during the blizzard--she loved it!!!  NOW  I remember!!!

I would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year.

My brother, Edward (1965 Grad) and I loss our mother this past fall.  She served in the military and was buried in Pinelawn National Cemetary with our father.

My mom loved Jones Beach, so we all went there following the funeral and fed the birds with her favorite bread - Wonder Bread. Living near Albany - I truely miss Jones Beach.

The people in the picture starting from the left are my brother Ed and his wife Barbara Bogue (Also a '65 Grad of Elmont). Lindsay my daughter, Lucy my wife, myself, Kelsey my daughter, Greg Ed's son, Eddie also Ed's son and Eddie's wife Nicole who was pregnant at the time and has since given birth to Edward Lawrence Pieper the 5th.

Take care, Susan. It's hard to ever be ready for such a loss. Feel all the hugs across the miles.

Carrie and everyone,

Just drive south on US 95, and come on down.  It's time for another reunion anyway.  Florida is so crowded now, but there's always room for Elmont people!

Thanks to everyone for your birthday wishes--really appreciated them!  And now for my March the first joke that I tell every year--here goes--

If Tuesday Weld married Frederick March the First, she would be Tuesday March the First!

When I told this today to my oldest daughter, she said--"It IS Tuesday March the First!"  Another good joke wasted on anyone under 50!

But she told me a good one --it beats mine--Why do they call May the Fourth  "Star Wars' Day"?

"May the Fourth be with you">

I'll stop here, except to wish my very good friend Randy Blaustein Solomon a very Happy Birthday today, and many many more.

My sister sent me this. It is a 2 minute home video of an Elmont Memorial Day Parade from 1960.

Hope I got it right!

My sister is here for her class reunion(1960). Apparantly if your class is having a reunioin you call the school and can have a reunion tour. I went with her. The school is the same but different!! The fountain in the courtyard is gone!!!

05/22/11 04:47 PM #598

Sabina Musci

I never liked that fountain.  There is a picture in one of my year books of someone praying in front of it, "Please make it go away."  Why did they ever paint it dark green?
