School Story:

Mrs. Dincin's favorite comment to me: " Mr. Harrel, you needn't keep watching the clock-time will pass, the question is whether you will".

She was the only HS teacher who ever took the extra time to encourage me to do better and assured me I could. I have never forgotten her advice and it has made a difference in my life-esp. in college and early career years. I wish she could know that.

Lots of laughs with Russell Foote, Roger Meehan, Wilbur Nelson, and Harold Ireland. Russell was a genius at making something funny out of almost anything you said or did. I still get in trouble sometimes by mimicking his quick and biting sense of humor-he was a good teacher in his own way.

I remember 9-4 in EJHS as not my finest hour. Many laughs, with little learning.
