I retired in 2009 after 35 years at the University of Minnesota, 31 years of that time in the Department of Theatre Arts & Dance. Once I retired, I turned my attention to art and writing. In 2014 I published my first full length contemporary romance novel, winning Best Debut Novel (State of Minnesota), awarded by Minnesota Fiction writers, the state faction of Romance Writers of America. The book is titled "Beyond the Fire" written under the name of Pamela Caron (available at Amazon.com). In 2017 I was the first local artist to be invited to display art at the Original Pancake House. (I know! What's better than pancakes and art, right?!) Life is very, very good.
