Good Morning everyone...The beginning of a new week...I'm hoping this week goes a little bit better than last week...Well it was a gorgeous day yesterday with temps in the mid to upper 80's....It sounds like the same for today...:)

The harvest is going...Didn't go to the fields till mid morning yesterday...Elevators don't open till noon on Sunday...Things were going good, till we had a major break down...OKAY, CAN WE GET GOING ON THIS HARVEST???? It always seems like something...Rain, dew, break downs,etc....I guess the only thing is that none of these things that go wrong are my fault...That is a plus for me...But I'm thinking they could probably think of a reason why it could be my fault...LOL...I'm hoping that they can get the combine back to working order this morn and get on with it...:) The older I get the more troubles we have and the longer harvest gets....

Roe...Glad to see you made it home safe and sound....Hope you had a wonderful time in Nebraska...There is no place like home....:)HUGSSSSSS

Well folks, I have a million things to do here and I'm on the damn computer...Best get the ball rolling....

Hope you all have a fantastic day....

The world will never change for you, but you can change the world....

Morning All...I just had the best weekend! Went trail riding with Darcy Slater, Sherry and Lisa Morehead, Kathy White, Lisa's sister, and myself. WE drove down to Osage Beach, where Darcy lives and rode our horses in the Ozarks....WOW, it fantastic! Darcy has not changed a bit.....still the same Darcy, she looks great and still single...No kids, just a horse and a dog. She adopted a mustang horse and has the cutest little dog...CJ. Her father passed away a year ago, and I know it has been a tough year for her. She has wonderful neighbors...with, out of this world toys....nice boats, Harley motorcycles, husband/wife set...one for each ...two golf carts that look like little race cars, you name it! Anyway, us girls decided it is quite a different life from our country hick lives! Pretty fast pace!! WHEW!!!

Sweetie...aaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!! The thought of laying in freshly cut wheat field diagnosing a combine problem....YIKES!!! Tension that you can cut with a knife and time to break out the Tums.....
Sweetie....maybe you could supervise...or hand tools??you know point at things and say what about this or how bout this?? Or maybe you and Sweetie Pea could maybe compare notes on this type of thing??? Like when they need your input and when they don't??? And you should probably not hand tool.....I know what you are like with church bulletins...Big Jer would have his tools scattered all over the field....LOL

From a man's point of view you might get ask to go sit in the truck......or you could go with the positive reinforcement route...this might be the best! Yes postive reinforcement!!!! Or there is the stay out of the way route...I remember mom usually took this route.

Things will work out....they always do.....

Someday you will laugh about it.....

Rabbits are getting thinned out, now when they see the truck coming they take off on a dead run... Not only have they been eating the beans, but they are going after the cabbage, broccoli, califlower, and even the beets!!!

Cindy Pfingsten (Judd)

Happy Birthday Sarge....and wishing you many, many more!

Cindy GR....Glad to hear the combine is back up and running! Yeah Matt...both Cindy and I have tried to be supportive when things are not going right....you men can really get testy!!! If everything would just go according to plan our hubbies would be happy men.....but that NEVER happens! Dave just came in to report that they just got the big round baler back up and runnning and they have rain in the forecast, it has been moved up a day...now he is in a panic!!! He has quite a few acres of brome down at the moment! They might be recruiting me to the hay field to rake...YIKES! I'm still scorched from the trail ride...saw a little too much sun over the weekend!

Jim Keilitz...You and your family would enjoy the Ozarks. Osage Beach was great!

06/30/09 06:02 PM #5479

Matt Jarchow

Happy B. Day Sargey....hope you didn't have to teach class today......if you did...did you take treats for all your class????

Have a good one!!!

06/30/09 08:07 PM #5480

Ron Yantz

I hope Sarge had/has a very Happy Birthday! I wish you many many more! Take care of yourself, and don't let any of those wild women you cavort with take advantage of you!

06/30/09 08:08 PM #5481

Ron Yantz

I also want to wish our good friend John Ayers a great Birthday. Happy Birthday John!! (I'm ahead on this one, for once!)

06/30/09 08:26 PM #5482

Ron Yantz

Oh, Cindy and Cindy! No matter how much grumbling we men do in times of trouble, we still need the support of an understanding wife. I'll bet your guys appreciate all you do waaaayyy more than they let on.

I hope to get my antique (1967-vintage) combine out of the shed to try a little wheat over the next few days. I only planted 22 acres, so I can put in some new alfalfa later this summer/fall. My little 303 International runs like a top (when it doesn't break down), but it only cuts about 13 feet-wide at-a-time. It can take a long time to get 22 acres done. Even so, it's better than switching out the innards of the big New Holland for so few acres. If I used the big New Holland without switching to the small grain sieves, I would throw too much out the back while trying to figure out a good setting, and be 'done' before it was 'right'. That little old combine does real fine, and I kinda like using it. {Besides, that AC in the big one never works for @#%^. At least in the old combine, the FAN moves enough air to keep me going!!}

06/30/09 09:04 PM #5483

Cindy Pfingsten (Judd)

Ron...Good to see you on here! Also good luck with your older combine and harvesting wheat. WE have a lot of older equipment around here too. The tractor they were going to have me rake with is a 350 Farmall. I believe it is older than I!

I assume you found a bull in your area for your girls. WE are shutting the hay process down for a couple days. WE are working Fall calves on Thrusday and Friday....getting the going in weights for the gain test on the Fall bulls and running Fall heifers through to vaccinate. Always the process before the 4th.....we are so predictable!

06/30/09 09:08 PM #5484

Matt Jarchow

Sweetie Pea...just how old would that make that tractor??? Just kidding!!!! LOL

I think we need pics of you on that tractor and rake in action.....You tube???

My goodness there were quite a few birthdays in June, if I missed anyone Happy Birthday and many many more cherished days.

Cindy and Cindy and Ron busy in the fields, wheat/hay.

Hey Little buddy I think you about ran me over last Friday with your big truck on West O. Maybe not but it looked like your truck. Hows the maters doing? See alot of people on the corners selling fresh produce.

Nip busy busy busy, flying, games, honey do list. Keeps ya out of trouble. lol

Ron good to see ya back home gettin ready for harvest. I don't know how you juggle the two jobs.

Larry the Cable Guy here in Lincoln this weekend. Any goers???

Well looking forward to the 4th. We don't get Friday off. The federal reserve is open so banks will be open too.

Wishing all a great day.

Matt Jarchow

Shelly...I would never purposely try and run you off the road...LOL At least two other trucks in our fleet that are similiar to mine...could have been me!!! Morning??? I was probably on some mission???? I probably hadn't had my Diet Pepsi yet??? YIKES!!!
We are reminded all the time to watch what we do in our vehicles....Like they aren't marked???? Sorry!!! As for the maters...there just OK!!! Would you take maters if we have extra's???

As for Larry the Cable guy....the Messing clan and I think Sargie are going to Get-er-Done!!! The show is being taped for Comedy Central....we will have to watch for them when it airs....

So Ron explain the combine thing....do you have two combines....so you don't what to change the innards......(techinical terms)LOL or sieves so you have two???? His and hers???? Jlee would probably get the bigger of the Two??? Or do you have a different header on each of them???...Big Jer told me his header is 25'........but I didn't find out if it is red or green....that would make a difference you know!! Or is it that one has A/C and one doesn't....Look how far that that they have come....from a fan to GPS....

Sweetie Pea we need to know how the raking went....I only had a chance to do it once....you probably could teach me a few things.....on the fine art of raking. Hope the rain holds off for you!!!

John.....my friend..plan on blistering you behind this weekend...Sargie may have to hold you down....but we will get the job done.....Tami may also have to help us!!!

Jim K....are you going to take the boat or ski out this weekend???? Or do you have to work??? If so be safe!!! Nebraska has lost 5 people already to water related accidents...two in the past week here in Lincoln. Be safe!!! And have fun!!!

Sweetie...missed your post today.....kind of sad!!! I know that you and Big Jer and the kids are hard at it...When do you think that you will hit the Daykin or Tobias area??? Just wondering??? Could be down there on Friday.

Roe....they have taken down all of the barricades here in Lincoln now that you have left town...kind of quiet!!!

Mr. Messing do you have the family truckster loaded yet??? ARE WE THERE YET???? ARE WE THERE YET????? Can't wait!!! Have a safe trip....

Hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend!! Tomorrow is Friday for this guy!!

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning....It is a cloudy morning in F-Town today...Some thundering in the west with some showers on the way....Had a small shower go through about 3a.m. that left us about .10..(I was still wide awake...geez) I have had many a sleepless nights for about a week now...To many things for me to think about I guess...

We finished the wheat harvest....All in all it went pretty well...Not to many dilemmas (SP)...Now on to the next steps....Servicing and cleaning all equipment...plowing around fields....getting ready for the (dreaded) field burning....My least favorite step...

Nippler...How are you buddy??? Our equipment is RED and I think for the time being we will leave it that way...LOL...We have had green (before I entered into my loving husbands life)...His grandfather, dad and uncle, ran a John Deere business in Daykin NE...Hard to believe...Hope things are well with you and the games have been exciting....Have a great time in Lincoln...Enjoy Larry the Cable Guy...Wish I could be in Lincoln too, but it just wouldn't work for me this time...Take Care...HUGSSSSS

Ron...Nice seeing you on here again...Thanks for talk...You are right, they do appreciate me. When it is a busy time they get so wrapped up in their job they forget to tell me...In the end it always comes out of their mouths somehow..:) Hope you are enjoying your vacation on the farm and getting the wheat out of the field....Take Care....

KEILWITZ...Sounds like you have a great plan for the weekend...Hope you and your family have the greatest time...Nothing better than camping with the fam...We did that for years when the kids were growing up...Then baseball, golf, and farming left us with no time to do it anymore...Have a safe and fun 4th!!!!!!!!

Michale...Big plans for the 4th???? I'm sure you will be doing some major grilling...and maybe even some milk drinking..LOL...Have a great time with you friends...:)
Take Care...HUGSSSSS

Roe...Glad to see you had a safe trip home...Can we do that weekend over...LOL...I had a great time...Missing everyone already...Have a great weekend...HUGSSSSS

Little Buddy...I'm missing you....Whats up with you for the weekend???? I'm sure you have some exciting plans...Are you going to Larry the Cable Guy??? Sure that will be a good show...Nippler will tell us all about it I hope...The maters still producing?? Tell Kristie hello for me....Take Care...Hugssss

Sweet Pea...Oh where do I begin with you....I'm totally exhausted....We all are....Maybe not the kids so much...Could it be our age??? So many things to think about I have been having a hard time sleeping at night which doesn't help matters either...Big Jer of course is sawing the old logs before his head hits the pillow...LOL....Two Peas in a Pod...LOL...Hope you have an enjoyable weekend....Take Care...Tell everyone at the Judd Ranch hello for us....Love you...OH and I miss you....HUGSSSSS

Classmates....Hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend...Be safe...Miss you all....I'm ready for another reunion...:)

Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.....

Hey there mates!
I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes. Do you remember the old saying, "you're not getting older, you're getting better"? I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this as I'm not sure what the "getting better" part means! Does it mean "better" at having aches and pains? Does it mean "better" as loosing hair? Anyway way, please let me know if you have the answer!

Roe it was a GREAT time visiting with you. You're one hell of a person and it's people like you that make this world such a great place to live in.

Matt, John, Julie, Fonz, Michale thanks much for taking me under your wings here in Lincoln. You folks are funny, caring and most certainly fit the same category as Roe.

To the CindyS and Nay... what a hoot you ladies are! I had a terrific time in Fairbury and Cindy Gr, thank you for the wonderful treats you brought. I just can't believe how much time you must have spent slaving away to make them! And yes ladies, you too fit the same category as Roe.

Opie, Terry, Ron, JimS and Lou (Bill) (dang we have too many people with the same last name) Sure wish you guys were closer! We'd have a ball. And yes, you guy fit the same category as Roe.

Oh heck, I bet I've missed someone! But I do think WE ALL fit the same category as Roe!
