Thought maybe we may get a shower, but didn't....The temps are still in the 80's...I'm trying to enjoy these days as much as possible, because I think one of these days it is going to get really hot....UGH.... Not much going on around here in Fairbury...Just basically the same thing everyday....work, work, work.... I'm ready for a vacation before we go into fall harvest....Man, where did the summer go...It has went entirely to fast... I wish you all a wonderful day.....The weekend is coming again....:) The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched...They must be felt with the heart...

07/24/09 08:50 AM #5569     Cindy Georgi (Rosener) Good Morning classmates....No complaints on the weather to much other than still no rain...:( The crops are starting to show some stress and so is my husband...LOL...I just keep hoping that one day soon we will get a nice soaking rain to help all the farmers out... Man this week went by pretty fast....That means vacation is getting closer...Oh I can't wait...OHHHHH.....Sit back with the feet up, enjoying boating swimming,shopping,watching the sunsets, and mostly my family....It will be a great time... Haven't heard any exciting news going on here...If something wonderful happened I must of missed it..damn...I hate when that happens...I'm sure I didn't miss to much... Well I hope you all have a vey eventful weekend....Try to do it up right with some much needed relaxation... The only was to have a friend is to be one...:)

Well I didn't get on yesterday, because I was getting beautiful at the beauty salon....Ok you can all quit laughing now...I know it will take a hell of a lot more than that to make me beautiful, but its a start, right??? WHEW....the guys are in high gear to get the rest of the prairie hay up! I, on the other hand snuck out of here for a couple days and went on a trail ride....and had a blast....I rode a couple hours yesterday with Darcy Slater and a few of her friends from Missouri. I hope to see a few of you back on here one of these days.....again Happy Sunday to you all!

Beautiful morning here, it's suppose to be cooler this week, high 70's to low 80's.... Sure is different than the normal July temps... Cindy, Thanks for yelling at me, don't know how I would make it thru the week with out it!!! The rest of the family made it home last nite around 7, sounds like things went well... Apartment is supplied, school clothes are bought, they hit some different restaraunts, the Zoo, and just had fun... Terry, Got a whole box of maters, of course they came from Laurie's parents...got sent home from Grand Island... Ours are just starting to come on, cool weather has been good for the plants... Slow on getting ripe... Sarge, Morgan and I plan on coming to the Sept. 12, Ne game... Won't make the Friday nite Fairbury game, She has home coming that nite... We plan on leaving after that, probably stop in North Platte or Kearney catch some sleep and finish up Sat. morning... We already have tickets I forget where our seats are at... I got your message on volleyball tickets... If you hear of another way to get some pleae let me know... Husker football coverage is a lot less this year, the Omaha World Hearld quit delivery to the western half of the state this spring, so we don't hear to much anymore... Take care!!!

07/28/09 09:40 AM #5576     Cindy Georgi (Rosener) Good Morning all...Overcast skies this Morning....We had some thunder and lightening around us last night, but again no rain....Being dryland farmers, the corn is starting to show some stress....And so is my husband...I was hoping that this being the first time we have ever planted corn that it would work out for us...Oh well, life goes on, and we will tackle any dilemmas that hit us in the face... Jeff...It was nice to see you on here again...Where have you been??? Are you still doing the trucking all over???Let us know whats going on with you... Sweet Pea...Howdy partner....How is life on the ranch??? It is very, very cool here today, extremely overcast and it is trying to rain.....the guys have been chased out of the hay field again. Tonight my hubby is taking me out to eat.....I love it when it rains, gives all of us a break! Cindy....I'm so happy you are getting away for a few days! You so deserve it!!!! And yes, it will all come together...but it helps to be prepared before you leave and it always makes a person feel better to have a clean and organized house too! When you get home it will be so much easier to have things in order then to come home to a mess.....just my thoughts! Enjoy the lake...and the sun...and your time with your family! Jeff....Jim is right, not much we can do about the getting older....just celebrate another year!

07/29/09 09:41 AM #5579     Cindy Georgi (Rosener) Top of this beautiful day to you all...It is a bit strange that I'm sitting here on July 29th with the windows and doors open enjoying the fresh cool air....That just don't happen in Nebraska during July very often...I'm sure enjoying the heck out of it though...We had slight showers yesterday and maybe got .5-.10 of rain...Not near enough but we will take every drop we can get...Jerry came home yesterday with a down look to his face saying that all the crops are showing bad signs....I feel sorry for the farmers when they have put in countless hours of work and take pride in watching their crops grow and prosper and then things just don't go quite as planned...It is all part of the job, never knowing how things will turn out...I think that is why we like this kind of life...No two years are ever the same, so we have different things going on all the time....I will keep praying that something good will come out of this years crops.... Keilwitz...Nice seeing you on here again...Your getting to be a regular now and I love that...Enjoy your cool weather out there as well....How is your garden doing??? Did you ever get rid of the rabbits??? 07/30/09 08:58 AM #5580     Cindy Georgi (Rosener) Good Morning...It is like springtime weather here in F-Town...The temps have been wonderful, but of course still no rain...I guess I'm going to have to stoop low and see if Little Buddy can do his famous rain dance...That seemed to have worked the last time we needed rain.... Nothing exciting going on in Fairbury lately...Just the same old stuff...We could use some excitement in this town...It gets kind of boring after awhile...But not matter what, it is still my hometown and I love it here... Well tomorrow I am headed off for a weeks vacation....Oh, how I can not wait...I've been waiting for this day for a whole year now...Pretty much have everything lined up and ready to go, except packing the clothes....That is a job in itself...Today I will get caught up on the laundry, bake some cookies, go to the store, pack up the clothes,get the garbage around, and of course I have to clean the floors....Don't want to come home to a dirty house...;) Both kids, plus Tylers girlfriend will be going with us on this adventure...We are all looking forward to some rest and relaxation, before all hell hits loose when we get back...Fall is a very busy time of the year for us and even busier because the kids won't be here because of school and work..They may be able to pop in on a weekend or so....So hoping this getaway will get us all caught up and rearing to go again... I'm sure we will pay for it in August.....guess we are getting closer to Fall everyday! Just finshed working another group of cows/calves today...we got off to a late start...Brent misplaced the branding iron...so we could not start until we found it!Now I need to start on my paper work here in the office. I would never guess cows would come with so much paper work! Identification, Identification, Identification, that is what my job is all about!!

Your postings just don't have the same sweet, flowery...with all the extra details, as Sweetie. You get right to the point and we appreciate your effort! I got new carpet in the living room, office, and up the stairs. It is suppose to be green...but it looks more like lite brown. Oh well....only have to live with it for the next 20 + years! Thinking about putting hard wood in our dining room...am I crazy with all the dirt...dust...manure...and cowboy boots that comes in this place? Probably should put concrete and a drain in the middle of the floor and that way I could just power wash it when it gets so bad.....
