Hello Mates,
Man, I figured that I better write something before Cindy G/R blows a headgasket doing all that screamin... After all She is kind of a Old Fart, and that stress is not good on a person( I can say that being one of the youngest in the class).
Hope all is well for everyone. Summer time is always a busy time for all. Hope it went well.
Barb and I should be havin our 1st.Grandchild in about 3 weeks. I can't wait. Got on a Web site last Sat. and ordered some Husker Baby socks and one of them full Body sleeper deals with the Footies in them. The Little Shit is going to be a Husker and Packer Fan when he or she stays at Gramps and Grannies. Dad is a Viking Fan(Oh Well).
Cindy, I hope this keeps ya from yelling at me for a while. I got on, you were not Home.. Tell your Ole Man keep His chin up. The rain will come soon. If it helps at all, tell him we have only had 1.7 in. for the year. I know its a desert..
TAKE CARE MATES, BILL

Michale, Sorry to hear your under the weather, hope things get better for you... Are you going to come to the tailgate party, game Sept. 12? Morgan and I will probably get there a couple hours before kick off, She has Homecoming Friday nite and we are leaving late...

Cindy G, What can I tell ya.. We had another shower this afternoon, probably .30 and right now its 64 degrees...

Take care...

Good Morning classmates...Still no rain here...Well I guess we had .15, but probably none at Daykin...Same story different day....We have been having some beautiful weather though...The temps have been in the 80's and no wind to speak of....I love these kind of days...

Yesterday, I made a trip to Lincoln to take a big cooler of meat and other food to Tyler...I had made a big pan of lasagne, salad and garlic bread for him and his roomies for supper also...It has been only 2 days since I had seen him, but was it ever nice seeing him again...:0) He gave me a big hug when I was leaving and told me it was nice seeing me again...If he only knew as a parent what it feels like when I see his smiling face...Priceless....

Bill...It worked didn't it...All I had to do was raise the voice a bit....It works that way at home too...When the voice gets loud, they all know I mean business...No messing around...LOL...Any way, I was glad to see that you made it on the forum....I'm really excited for you and Barb on being greandparents....I'm hoping you will let us know when this big event takes place....A picture posted on the forum in that Husker outfit would be great for all of us to see...I'm so glad, you are keeping the husker spirit going there in Vegas...And passing it on down to the grandchild, awesome....We will be thinking of your family as you wait for this blessed moment in your lives...I will pray all goes well....Take care friend....Tell Barb hello for me...(She will never get this cookbook done now with a grandbaby in her life..LOL I will keep waiting..) Have a great day!!!!..Miss you....HUGSSSSSS

Keilwitz...Nice to see you made it back on as well....Did your kids start school this week??? Probably not quite ready for the summer to be over yet I'm sure...It goes so fast...Are they involved in the fall sports??? You will have a busy year I'm sure....Have a wonderful day....Hugsss

Sweet Pea...How are things going on the ranch??? Won't be long and you will be getting the food etc. ready for the sale...Man the time sure flew...We are going to be burning some fields here in the next week or so...I hate that so much...We usually have it done by now, but are a bit behind since vacation...I hope they don't ask for me to help out....YIKES...Well girl, i had best get going on the jobs I'm behind on so I can help them out when needed....Have a great day...Love you...miss you...HUGSSSS

Hope you all have the best of days.....

Even though you may be miles away, your're always close to my heart.....:0).....Amen....

Hi All, Where's Michale at, She's usually likes to comment about Hump Day?

Cindy G, I was at the store today and found this ice cream called Caramel Praline Crunch by Dreyers, so I bought some, Not Bad, I'll had to keep it on the list... Kids start school tomorrow, no Fall sports for us, which is nice, gives me time to get stuff ready for winter... Well gotta go In-Laws are coming in tonite, need to finish up some things...

Take Care...

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning all....We had a thunderstorm go through F-Town last night...I haven't been out to see how much we got...We had some hail along with it...Some a bit bigger than walnuts...But to let you know that our fields are sitting in a dry hole....The sun was shining there...WHAT?????....I just don't get it...Beatrice had 1.70....Just seen it on the tube...It is real cool out this morning and a bit windy....One thing about this summer we haven't had a lot of wind like we normally do...So I guess that is one plus....

Keilwitz...Well the kids are off to get their education today...I hope they pay more attention in class than most of us did...LOL...My kids did way better than me in school...Doesn't mean they are smarter, I had better things to do...At least that is what I thought at the time...Now I wished I would of payed a little more attention in class....Oh well, it is kind of late to dwell on that...Hope you have a great day...Enjoy the in-laws....

Sweet Pea...Keep those baby calves a coming....I'm thinking I may need to get a job to help pay for farm expenses...Are you hiring by any chance??? I'm sure there is something I could do isn't there??? Keep me in mind...Well I need to get on with my day....A lot of things to do again today...Sometimes the days seem so short....Have a great day....Love you..Hugssss

The week will be winding down after today...Start doing your planning for the weekend....Have a good one!!!!

Life is like photography, we all develop from negatives...

Cindy Pfingsten (Judd)

Cindy, I hope none of your crops were damaged from the hail. We started to get a little bit of that last night around 7....then it quit here. Cindy...your looking for a job? I know you could keep my crew in line ....but what would Jerry do?

Yes, Lily is off to another day....long day for a kindergartner...8 to 5! Maybe she will get on the right bus tonight and not ride on every bus route in Pomona! Last night, Ginger had to get on the bus and pick her up.....she had fallen a sleep...poor thing! O'Rex is her bus driver....he is a little man that usually has a cigar in his mouth...but can't do that on school property, that is how you see him in town. He also drove my kids to school too. Nick said years ago if someone said something smart...he would yell back...."shut the hell up"!

WOW! I did the count last night on my last check....I guess I have been busy....we have 110 calves on the ground! No wonder I don't know which day of the week it is!

Its FRIDAY!!!!!! Good Morning to everyone....The night before last we ended up getting 1 inch of rain in Fairbury...Daykin 0.....Little Buddy maybe if you went to Daykin and did the rain dance....The highs today are to be in the upper 70's....Little chilly in the early mornings...Love this weather....

Nothing exciting going on here...Just been working around here and getting things ready for the big fall harvest..(if we have anything to harvest)...It seems sometimes we have all work and no play, but the playtime will come at a later date....Haven't got to burn yet as the winds have not cooperated with us on that...So that means as we work things still pile up on us...UGH

Sweet Pea...How did the move go??? Did they get all moved in already??? I bet they are so excited to be in their new home...Such a nice home it is....Hope Lily got on the right bus yesterday...I'm sure she has stories to tell you everyday what went on in her day....Hope all is well on the ranch....I best keep on truckin here....miss you...love you...HUGSSSS

Wishing you a weekend full of fun things to do....Have a great one...

Evening all.........

Sweetie.....as for the dance I tryed it several day ago....when you requested it,but must only work in the lancaster county area?? Sorry......may have to take the thong on tour??? I seem to be wearing out the grass to the rain gauge...
I see that you where in Lincoln again and did ya stop?????
As for Daykin and the thong......YIKES!!!!!

Sweetie Pea.....your story about Lily and the bus seems to ring a bell......Ohhhh the stories I could tell. When I was her age I use to walk to school that was a mile from our house...dirt road ofcourse...and yes it was up hill both ways. I remember the first bike that I got to ride to school....I think I wore out the training wheels on it before I learned to ride it???? Slow learner???? I remember that Erich Hummel picked up a rabbit that had been hit along the road and was going to nurse it back to health.....this was on friday night....his mom found it on monday morning....YIKES!!!! As for the bus rides to school....well.....can you say assigned seats....Ron Yantz could probably fill you in on more.

Jim K......the volleyball team is going to be the most physical team that the current coach as ever coached. He said he has never seen anything like it. It should an interesting season.

Hope everyone one has a great weekend....record lows here tonight.....in the upper 40's....its coming!!!!

Matt....

Well Gang, Just got home and saw that we were down to 39 Friday morning, kinda cool for August... Had some hail Wednesday nite little rough on the garden, I guess we'll wait and see what happens...

Matt, We did get tickets to see NU volleyball the day after the football game, so that should be fun...

Take care All!!!

08/22/09 01:28 AM #5628

Cindy Pfingsten (Judd)

Hello Everyone!

Cindy and Matt....Lily is into her 3rd day of school and she already has stories.....she told Ginger and I the other day that if she could just ride her horse to school she would not have to worry about getting on the right bus....we both busted up laughing....good point!
Cindy...so glad to hear that Matt FINALLY got the rain dance done for you....now I hope you are able to get the wheat stubble burned soon...I understand about getting behind....always ON schedule! These men have little alarms that go off in their heads....and look out they are on a mission!

Moving is going great...only problem they need to invest in some furniture....it looks kind of bare!

Jim...looks like I just missed you on here...can you believe this cool weather...Cindy, I don't want to be doing your job...but I heard around Hwy 36 is suppose to be in the 40's tonight......IN AUGUST????

I'm headed out to do one more check then I'm headed to bed...Night all!

08/22/09 10:00 AM #5629

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning all....Wow this August weather is unbelievable....Nice cools days....This morning it was a bit chilly...About 50 degrees...Is suppose to warm up to the upper 70's to low 80's....I love this!!!!!

Little Buddy....Daykin and the thong....I think you would give some excitement to the town....They can always use something new to talk about...I think you would definately be the talk of the town....Maybe even be on the news???? This could be your calling....And if the thong raindance works think how many farmers would become your best friend...There is always something good that can come out of this...:0) How are you doing??? Haven't heard from you for awhile...Missing you, Little Buddy...I know you must be missing me too...LOL...Yes, I was in Lincoln for just a short time...I had to return some things I had bought and I took coolers of frozen food to Tyler...Plus, lasagne, salad, garlic bread, and brownies for their supper that night...So I was on the road longer than I was in Lincoln....Sorry, one of these days I will meet up with you....Huggggsssss

Keilwitz....Nice to see you on here again....Thanks for being a regular...Hope your garden wasn't hurt to bad from the hail...Are you doing the whole canning thing??? My Mom used to do it all...pickles,salsa, green beans, beets, carrots, it just seems like a lot of work...But she enjoyed doing it....Hope ou have a great weekend...HUGSSS

Sweet Pea...LOL...I love that Lily wants to ride her horse to school...Jerry and I got a chuckle out of that one...Yes, we did get some rain here, but not on the crops...They are dry as a bone...The beans are hanging in there, but not sure about the whole corn thing...This has not been a good year to impress my milo and wheat farmer...Not sure the beans, corn and weather are going to change his mind on what to grow....Time will tell....Glad the move went well...Now to buy new furniture...That is a job right there...It can be fun, but sometimes confusing...Hope you are having a great weekend....Miss you...HUGGSSSSSSS

Enjoy the weekend classmates...

Matt Jarchow

Well we didn't make it into the 40's, but you couldn't ask for better weather...for August....this is August isn't it?? Time seems to be flying by.....

Mr. Messing....you must be burning up the frequent flyer miles....its about time to take that plane in for shop service isn't it. Hope the friendly sky are treating you well.

Sweetie....I think that I put the thong into retirement??? Seems to have server its purpose well. Though I could possible bring it out of retirement for the opening home Jeff football game??? NOT.........

Sargey...hope you have healed up alright??? I've had that injury before...kind of smarts.... If any one in the Lincoln area needs to attend a STOP class I know just the guy to contact. And he draws a big class from what I see.

Sweet Pea...Lily is onto something with the horse...probably her way of going all GREEN....small carbon footprint that she will have riding that horse. I remember sitting in the back of one of those old buses...about got gased out...maybe thats my problem???

Jim K...I see the weather is starting to really cool off out west at nights and it seems to be raining alot out your way which can't be all bad.....I hear Big Mac is starting to come back.....I have a co-worker that was going diving there this weekend...I'll have to get the full report from him pn how full it is.

It was a top ten day here in Lincoln..hope it was in your area also....

08/23/09 10:19 AM #5631

Jim Keilwitz

Good Morning All, Overcast and 61 this morning, suppose to hit low 90's today, yesterday was in the mid 90's, seemed more like August...

Matt, According to the paper, Big Mac is about 15-16 feet higher right now than it was this time last year... We drove by it about a month ago and there are a lot of trees growing up on the west end, don't know how they will ever get them removed...

Cindy G, You aren't the only ones having weather related issues, some of the locals were saying last nite that some of the corn didn't polenate(sp) right, so they have ears with no kernals, due to the cool weather.. Garden?, it's a little rough, mainly the cucumbers, watermelon, and cantaloupe, I think the rest will survive...

Take Care!!!

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Monday Morning to you all....The weather here has still been great....Possibly close to 90's today....The evenings cooling down, which makes it for a great time to sit out and gaze at the stars...

I have been having some puter problems, so hope this gets to the forum...Being a puter idiot I have no clue what is wrong or going on with this darn machine...Technology,I'm about ready to start writing letters again and putting a stamp on it...UGH...These things are great when they are working right, but when they aren't, I like to through it in the river....

Sarge sounds like you have some good plans for the football weekend...Good to see some classmates get together for some fun....

Sweet Pea...Stop and take a breath...I know you have to be working way to hard...I just know...Hope you have all been enjoying the great weather...take care...tell Judd Ranch hello for me...Love you and miss you ....HUGSSSS

Wishing you all a great week....

Cindy Pfingsten (Judd)

Night All....It has been a long night...there are babies everywhere out there, we have had several today. They are ready to be tagged and moved to the next big pasture.

08/25/09 09:09 AM #5636

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning classmates....The temps hit around 90 yesterday...It was a good day!!!! We still have not had any rain....Jerry said it almost to late now so I guess we will harvest what we can...I hope there is something there....:0/

Big Jer left this morning to head to Kansas....Try to get some burning done...YIKES....It makes me soooooo nervous...The winds were suppose to be perfect for this but they have changed it some, so we will see if they will burn or not..So I am stuck at home to be by a phone...Hoping things go well....I will have to post some pics of a field burning...It is an amazing and dangerous thing....

Sweet Pea...Keep those babies a coming....How many have you had and how far are you from being done??? Hope you are enjoying this wonderful weather...It has been gorgeous out here....Well I absolutely know nothing...So I guess I best get some work done around here today...Have a great day....Miss you...HUGSSSS

Wishing you all a wonderful day....Enjoy these wonderful days....

True happiness is to be satisfied with what we have.....( I say Amen to that)

Good Morning All, Feels like Fall, 57 degrees out this morning... Ate some sweet corn out of the garden, cool weather has been rough on things, ears were only filled out alittle over half way... O'well it didn't hurt the taste...

Cindy G, I hope the burning of the county weny well, not to many phone calls to the fire dept....

Take care and have a good day All...

08/26/09 09:20 AM #5638

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good morning everyone...We had a small shower go through this morning...We had .40 of rain at F-Town...Don't know how much in the Daykin area yet...Temps are suppose to be in the 70's for a few days...Wow....This will be great...The temps yesterday were in the upper 80's, but the humidity was about 96%....It seemed very warm out...

I need to set something straight here...When I have been saying that Daykin has not been getting rain, some areas have...Like Jerry says, there is about a ten mile area that has had about .15 since the first of July...That ten mile area just happens to be where our crops are...So some of the farmers in that area have got some rain, but it is still pretty dry there...:0( I have been trying to have a positive outlook on this...It is kind of hard to do, but it could be worse....We will harvest what we can and go on from there....:0) Now if I could just get Jerry to look positive, it would be great...LOL

Little Buddy...How are things going??? I think the yellow thong would be great entertainment for the halftime show at the F-Town football game...Whatcha think??? You would be supporting the school by wearing school colors too...Think about it...:0) Hope things are well for you in Lincoln....Missing you....Hugssss

Sweet Pea...We got two fields burned yesterday...4 more to go...It makes me so nervous...I have to quit worrying so much...I fear things can happen so fast and nothing you can do about it....It went fine yesterday, so I have 2 fields behind me....4 more to worry about...LOL...Hope things are going well for you and your family at Judd Ranch...Wishing you a worry free day!!!!!!! Nissing you...HUGSSSSSS

Happy Hump day to all of you....Have a wonderful day....

The best way to remember your wifes birthday is to forget it once....

08/26/09 11:14 PM #5639

Cindy Pfingsten (Judd)

Dang...it is Wednesday...I missed a day...I thought it was Tuesday! Cindy, glad to hear the burning went well...we both know how fast they can get out of control....it will be calm...then you light a pasture on fire and it becomes windy! Absolutley LOVE the idea of the half time entertainment show with Matt and the thong! Now, if that doesn't draw people in..I'm not sure anything will!

08/27/09 09:53 AM #5640

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning....Some great news from the Rosener farms...Yesterday, we checked in with .50 in the rain gauge...What a surprise for us...It may be a little to late, but we will still take it and more...:0) Was Little Buddy up there doing his rain dance????? Haven't heard any talk about it yet...HMMMMMM

Well it looks like,(according to the Fairbury Journal News) that the new Athletic Complex will be opening soon...They will have the first football game held there on Sept.18th....Pretty exciting for everyone....But being the old womean that I am, I still think there is nothing better than Quinn Field...Lots of good memories that I will cherish forever....

Sweet Pea...The whole field burning job is just a dangerous situation all around...You are so right on the winds...Halftime show with Little Buddy and his yellow thong....I have just submitted an article to the newspaper, so people will know he will be there..I think it will be an added touch to the halftime performance of the band.....It should draw a sell out crowd...:0)....Hope your days are giving you a little ME time...Know this is a busy time for you as well....Take Care....Miss and Love you...Hugsssssss

The weekend is nearing so be getting those thinking caps on and paln something fun......Have a great day!!!!!!

Never bend your head. Always hold it high. Look the world straight in the eye....

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning everyone...What a beautiful day it is!!!!! It is also Friday....So what more could a person ask for...I thought you would agree with me....yesterday was a wonderful day...Great temps, no wind, and ended up with a ray of sunshine...:0)

I have been trying my best to have a positive attitude in my life...Sometimes it is a bit hard, but it does make a person feel better that is for sure...You should all try it today and see if it works for you...

I drove by park school the other day...I thought of all of you people that attended there, but mainly I thought of the few of you on the reunion night...LOL...I am going to start saving some bail money for the next reunion just in case...You never know what kind of idea will come to mind....Is that what our parents were talking about when they said peer pressure????? lol...Oh man, do I love your guys spunk....WHEW....

Well I had best get the mop on the floors and the vacuum on the carpet, laundry in the washer, and whatever else hits me in the face done.....

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend....Enjoy these beautiful days as it won't be long and some of us will have the white flakes on the ground....

Laugh your heart out, dance in the rain, cherish the moment, ignore the pain. Live, Laugh,Love, forgive and forget. Life is too short to be living with regrets....

08/29/09 08:52 AM #5642

Jim Keilwitz

Well I see NU volleyball didn't do so well last nite, but they are a young team, hopefully things will get better....

43 degrees and clear this morning, no wind, sure was windy yesterday... Sounds like we are heading to Chadron to watch the college football game today, starts at noon... Not much going on, kinda in between things, shifting from summer to fall...

Hope you have a good weekend!!!
