Michale Guilford (Junker)

Good morning all. It is cloud covered, cool. Have the patio door open taken in the fresh air. What a neat day to go to the NE State Fair. It's the last fair here in Lincoln. Thanks to UNL they are moving it to Grand Island. WHAT!!!!! Lincoln is the State Capitol. Who is going to drive to Grand Island. I haven't been to the fair since I quit showing horses. Not a ride fan, only went for the livestock that I miss so much. I remember when Chris showed cattle in 4-H. I love my horses but I really enjoyed showing cattle too. Pigs not so much or sheep, but fun to watch.

I love reading what you all have been up too. I have been very busy at work and haven't been on here much. I will try and make a better effort.

Ciny P Lily in the big K. Jeston too. He just turned 5 on August 24. Pretty young I think. They take him to school and then he rides the bus to daycare. He isn't very big I think he got the Junker shorties. My kids are pretty tall tho. Chris ended up being 6-4 Jesse is probalby about 6-2. Poor Jake is so short, about the height of Gwen if that, but he is a great dad and nephew. He didn't get the Junker curse thank god. He has two beautiful girls and loves them too death. His wife Beth is fantasic too. They make a great couple.

Jim K love to hear what is going on with your life and kids. It is hard for me to imagine some of you all still have kids in high school. Mine have been done since 2001. Jesse is 27 now nearing 28 in Jan. Chris would have been 29. WOW

Kenny's job is going well. We are still trying to pay catch up but things are good. It sucks
, he is working both weekend days these past two weeks. I'm stuck alone at home not use to that but dealing.

Sarge was so sweet. He stopped in to see me. Asked if I was going to the game. I'm not, but will try and make the tailgate. I would love to see ya all. Never been to a tailgate, where the heck do we park???? I'm like 5 minutes away from there. Probably could walk.

Cindy G I pray for rain for you. I totally thought you irrigated or had those things that roll on wheels, dang can't think what they are called LOL Been away from the farming too long. Farming is a tuff life. Good and bad. I don't really miss it. I used to bale move round bales which I loved, could do it all day. Disced (sp) Didn't ever plant or combine. Ran the truck to the market and did silage. Miss some of those chores. I liked the tractor. I will always be a farm girl/cowgirl.

New grandbaby hopefully doing well. Jess isn't answering his phone. More of the same I guess. I don't now what I did to deserve his unattachment. Least I havc Kenny's kids who love me unconditionally.

Hope you all have a great weekend. Love ya all and will try to keep better in touch with ya all.

Good Gloomy Mornign from F-Town NE....It is a cloudy here this morning, but the temps have been out of this world....

Nothing exciting going on here...The same old stuff just a different day....I tried to come up with something new here in town and well, I came up with nothing...So the minute I hear of some exciting news...I will right on that and get it posted....One thing I guess the city is getting some grant money to get rid of some of these houses that have become shacks....YIPPPPEEEEE...That will be nice, but they only have enough money for about 20 houses....There are a heck of a lot more than that...There I did give you some news...I will try to keep the old brain open...LOL

Michale...So nice to see you on this morning...Always enjoy hearing your stories....That was nice Sargey came to see you...It is about time he did something nice..LOL..Hope you have a grand weekend....Relax girl, you deserve it....

Sweet Pea...Whats happening on the ranch???? Nothing much here, but organizing, cleaning, getting ready for harvest....Other wise kind of boring...Hope you are having a good weekend...Keep everybody in line...I know you can do this....:0)...Miss you, love you, HUGSSSSS

Enjoy the weekend, classmates!!!!!!!!

Good Morning, I see the Lady Huskers pulled one off last nite, good for them... Spent yesterday afternoon in Chadron, they won their football game... It looks like fall is here...Think we are heading to Menards in Scottsbluff this morning, have a sale on garage doors and then a 30 percent tax credit on certain models, never know might be time for a new one... then go to work this afternoon...

Take care All!!!

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning....It is a gorgeous morning today...It was 47 this morn and suppose to get up to 72 today....WOW...Where did the summer go?????

It is a good day to be productive on this end...I have a lot to get done..Sometimes it seems I spin my wheels a lot...Or else go in circles....If I could just spin the wheels and go in circles at the same time, I think things would get done faster...Always interruptions, which doesn't help matters any....The bad part of the whole thing, these jobs don't go away by themselves...They sit and wait on me...Oh where is that fairy when I need her....

Jim...Nice seeing you on here....Garage door shopping today huh??? Well if you look around long enough I'm sure you can find something else too....I love to shop in those stores...Have some very unique things....Have a great day....

Hope you all are having a wondrful weekend...Having some fun along with the work at home....Enjoy yourselves....

Best friends are the siblings God forgot to give us....

Hope you all had a great weekend...Mine was very mild with some work and no play...Maybe if I could get this darn work done I could play more...That will be my goal for the week....I will try my hardest, but pretty much know it is not going to work out...LOL

Good morning to those of you that live in central time zone, just got off work, see we had some action on the ol' board the last couple of days...

Michale, I'll start with you, yes I started late having kids and then on top of that, they ended up being four years apart... I'll be 54 when Ty graduates from High School (2014)... Talk about having to stay in shape to keep up with them, they think you should be able to water ski and be as crazy tubing as they are....

Bill, Congrats on the new Grandchild, enjoy... Hows the day shift going???

Cindy G, We didn't do to bad at Menards, did buy a new garage door and a new gazebo for the patio.. Our old one, was getting old and the last hail storm tore holes in the canvas top, so it was cheaper to just replace it...

Cindy P, Hello how are you? How long will you be doing silage? My folks didn't do that, but I do remember helping the neighbors alittle bit...

Matt, Sounds like you have lots of plans for a good weekend.. no plans for me, will probably work this weekend since I'll be off the following weekend... Well Guys need to head to bed so I'm not to crabby tomorrow...

So, it looks like do some work this morning, take a nap after lunch, get supper on the table, maybe church tonite, then work... Anybody got any great ideas on what to do with excess cabbage? Other than cabbage burgers, was a good year for cabbage...

Terry, Good to see your still kicking. have fun chasing the boys around for games and good luck!!!

Cindy P,. A few more days of chopping, then what starts next???

Guys I need to get going, I'll try to catch the rest of you later... Hope your day goes well!!!

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning classmates....It is a cool and cloudy day today in F-Town....There is talk of some rain coming in...We can only hope...Time will tell I guess....

Yesterday,I was in Falls City, NE...I attended the funeral of a very dear aunt of mine...She fought a courageous battle of cancer for 23 years....It was a very sad time, but it was also a wonderful time...We celebrated her life, and it also brought most of my huge family together...We have now decided to have a yearly family reunion...So, I will have to get going on the planning of a fun filled weekend....

Bill....Congratulations on the new Grandchild...What an exciting time for your family...Glad things are going well with everybody...Make sure you have the Husker outfit on the baby this weekend...It will be a great added touch to the first Ne. game of the season...Take care and tell Barb hello and Congrats!!!!!!

Little Buddy...No, I was not in Lincoln yesterday...I do and can go other places...Of course I may have to make a trip up there one of these days, as I'm missing my baby really bad...Hope you have a great day...HUGSSSS

Sweet Pea...Glad to see the silage cutting is going well for you...Hopefully you can get it done before the rains hit...I know you have the hair appoinment...I've done that on certain occasions (wished for rain)...LOL...Oh if those men knew that we would be in big trouble..LOL...We have to stay beautiful for our men though...;0)..Take Care...Miss you and Love you...HUGSSSS

Wishing you all a wonderful day....

I sure did love all the activity that went on when I was away...When the cats away the mice do play....:0)

Perhaps our eyes need to be washed by our tears once in awhile, so that we can see life with a clearer view again...

Cindy, sorry to hear about your aunt, she did fight a very long battle. The reunion will be fun, are you in charge of the next reunion?

Jim, After choppping....well they have been wanting to get on a BIG fence project, plus we have the cow sale! I know there will be something that needs their attention!

09/02/09 06:48 PM #5662

Matt Jarchow

Cindy GR...Sorry aboout your aunt....Wish I was there to give you a Hug.....

Cindy PJ....The kidnapping thing....I was going to come across the state line and get Terry and yourself for next weekend....How long would it be before Dave missed you??? Wished you could come....but understand. Things are getting cranked up here for this Sat.

Bill......Husker gear comes in really small sizes.....better get your order in now!!

Jim...all I can say is cornbeef and cabbage. Its been a good year for everything in the garden for us except for the tomato's...plenty for BLT's

Terry...pace yourself man.....Hope honey has a good season...you need to fill us in on it....we need to know these things.

Sarge...the wife saz that you have quite the inquiring mind....

09/03/09 09:42 AM #5664

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning all....It is another gloomy looking day out today...60% chance of rain today and tonight....Temps in the 70's...

We have a test plot on one of our fields...Last night was the field day....Had different seed dealers there to tell about their products etc....Had a good turn out...Is fun to get together and visit with the farmers...Had a great supper following...

Today looks like it is going to be a good day for some much needed cleaning...I'm going to get the dust rag out, broom and mop, vacuum and all the bathroom cleaning supplies....Oh this is not sounding like much fun all of a sudden...But it will feel good when I'm done...;0)

Well the first game of the Huskers is approaching us fast....I'm getting pretty excited about this years season...I have the feeling it is going to be a good year.. GO BIG RED!!!!!!!

If there is anything exciting going on around here I have missed it...Sorry...I try to keep up on things, but sometimes I don't get out much to hear what is going on around me...I usually hear it about a month later....Better late than never....

Well here is wishing you all a wonderful day....Hope you all have some big plans for the big weekend....

The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings....

09/04/09 09:22 AM #5665

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning....With all the gloominess yesterday, we finally got .50 inches of rain in F-Town last night...AND Daykin got 1.50....YIPPPEEEEE...It may be a little late for the crops, but we needed the rain soooooo bad...It will help for when we get ready to put in the winter wheat....There is always something good that comes out of these things.....It is still gloomy out this morning with some drizzle...

Things are going as usual on the homefront...I'm still plugging away and trying to get some things done around here...It is a never ending project...If I ever get caught up, it is time to start all over...On the positive side of it, it keeps me busy and out of trouble...LOL...I know, I'm too old to get into trouble, but a person just never knows what may hit them in the face...Look at the reunion and those Park school kids....We all still have a little bit of orneriness in us YET!!!!!

Wishing you all a wonderful Labor Day weekend....May you have a relaxing, funfilled, weekend planned...:0)

Cindy Pfingsten (Judd)

Happy Friday to All...and wishing you all a very deserved Labor Day Weekend...be safe!!
No special plans for us...same thing here different day!
It is raining here again...so the corn chopping is on hold for another couple days. Cleaning house for me and then catching up here in the office!
Since we are over half on calving, and it is raining.... the guys saddled up and are sorting pairs...meaning they sort off cows with calves that were born at the start of this calving cycle to move them into a bigger pasture or out farther from the calving pen. (this makes the second time they are sorted...and they will stay in their new pasture until October or until breeding season starts for the fall group) They will not come back to this location for a year....this process takes patience! Plus, someone has to block the gate at all times....some old cows with their babies dart to the gate when they see it is open...even though it is not time for them to go out!
Take Care Everyone!

Hey everyone! I know I know ... long time no post. I've been lurking though, doesn't that count???

Time just flies by so fast these days, seems as soon as my head hits the pillow, its time to be off and running again!

Summer kept us busy with scouting events, and those never ending around the house projects, plus the occasional weekends away camping!

And finally, I talked my N. Californian husband into going to a Fairbury football game. So we will be attending the gathering on the 11th. I'm so excited!

Have a great one!
