Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning classmates...Well it is a gloomy day today...:0( Yes, Sargey we did get some major rains last night....WHEW....I haven't been out there this morning, but I think around 1.75 ".....South of town had even more...Haven't got the Daykin report yet either....So will try to update you if I can later....

Well I got to see some classmates for a short time last night....The game was called off for awhile because of the rains so met up with them at Rowdy's...It was great to see their lovely faces....It ended way to fast though, as they started the game back up....So I didn't get to talk vey much with some of them...Felt bad about that, but I didn't think the game would be a go...It is great to get together with classmates and do some cussin and discussin....And I found out a few things....Especially about Little Buddy...His wife is so funny and nice....

I hope the rain holds off for all you going to the Ne. game...Have a great time and be safe....Sargey that means don't be tailgating to much...I know how you are...')

Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend.....Yell for them Huskers.....

GO BIG RED!!!!!!!

Weekend update......

Just an upadate for people that could not attend this weekend festivities....

Friday night was all about staying dry. Arrived at Quinn Field to lighting storm......they always tell you not to stand under at tall object in a storm...we where standing under trees...probably not the smartest thing to do. But as Charlie Moore told me....you taller people will always get hit first. Thanks coach!! So as the rain came down it was off to Rowdy's. Thanks to Rod and all his crew for letting us take over his place. Our Little group seemed to erupt everytime one of our classmate enter the door...(Sweetie got the louds cheer....glad that you could catch up with us) also for putting up with out F-jacket fashion show. Some of us seem to fit better in there's then others.....Jeff G. keep working on it my friend it takes sometime.
The game did take place...much later. Some of us took in the first half. (Rained the whole time) We left around the half...these old people can only take so much of setting in the rain. I'm not sure what the final score was... F-town was not on the winning end but we did get to see the final game at Quinn.

Side note: Sweetie always says it doesn't rain in F-town? I guess we should have shown up a few weeks earlier? (and there was no rain dance)

Saturday morning came early....

I want to thank our hosts....Robin and Dave for the tailgate party. These two are season pro's at this..not there first time around the block! Flat screen TV...to the Huskerbago and all the food, they did it up right!

The morning was spent meeting wives, husbands, moms, dads, daughter, sons and alot of wallets picture if they were not there....Thank You all for sharing.....and Thank you for all the Hugs!
The game was great! I got to sit with to great looking gal's...both from our class. What else could a guy ask for??? Thank you Julie and Nancy for the day!
Thank you also to Roe for the idea of us getting together and to Sarge for getting everything in order for us to do it. We wouldn't of had the day without you guy's!
And Thank you to all of you for showing up at the party...some from near and some from far...(Pat Garrett's 700plus mile trip...glad that you could make it)too just a few blocks away. And even if it was just to stop in and say HI....it was much appreciated!!

Rumor has it that this could be an annual event??? We will see???

Hope everyone one made it home safe and sound!!

Thank all of you again for making it a great weekend...Matt

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good morning all....Well I gave you a break from myself....Hope you all enjoyed it, but sorry I'm back....We have been still having great weather here in F-Town...Last Friday night was something else...We ended up getting 1.60" of rain at our home, but my Dad which is 16 blocks from us got over 2"....It was a bit crazy that night that is for sure...Daykin of course got .60....Geeze....

I got to see some classmates that came to F-Town to watch the last football game on Quinn field last Friday...I didn't make it to the game, but met them at Rowdy's....It was great to see their beautiful faces...I wasn't there a very long time as they started the football game back up in the rain, so off they went...Thank God I didn't bring a jacket with me...LOL...I felt really bad because I didn't get to talk to much to some of you....I wished we could of had more time....Hopefully next time you are around....

Big Jer, got all the machinery hooked up and ready to go...He took a sample on the short season beans yesterday to see where we stand...It looks like poosibly this afternoon (if the sun stays out) we could be doing some harvesting...Lets get going on this, PLEASE!!!!!! We need to get the wheat planted after the beans are out and then on to the corn and milo harvest....I have this funny feeling this could be a long ordeal....UGH...Maybe I should take over and become the big cheese...I bet things would get done in a fashionably wonderful way...LOL...

Sounds like you all had a wonderful time at the NE game last weekend...I was glad the weather was perfect for you...It is always good to get together with you classmates....I will get the privilege to see Fuzzy, Keith, Opie, & Lisa, this weekend...Their nephew is getting married here in F-Town...So I will have to catch upwith them a bit...I'm excited to see them....:0)

Well I have a few orders to do from the BIG CHEESE and then I have a mile long list of my own...So I best get on with it....

Jeff Grummert...I know you will read this cuz you said you read and don't write...We will ALL be waiting to HEAR from you SOON!!!!!!!

Wishing all a wonderful day!!!!!!

Good Morning everyone from F-Town....It is another gorgeous day out this morning....Trying to enjoy a bit of it each day....Nothing much going on here in Fairbury as usual....The Fairbury Jr.-Sr. High School will be having their Homecoming this weekend..Exciting time for the kids...It will also be the first football game in the new athletic complex....So excitement is around us here...

Big Jer, had a big day yesterday of harvesting beans...Let the fun begin....The field that they were working on were better than he thought it would be and so that is always nice to hear...So our fall harvest has officially begun....After the beans are out, we will have to take a few days to plant the wheat, then back to harvesting...So it is going to be very busy for sometime now....

Bill, hope your birthday was a great day for you...Thank you so much for the pics...You are right, he is a good lookin little guy...Have fun with him....Take care..Hugsss

Well I have a list a mile long today, plus Big Jer just added a few things to it...UGH...Things are great here on the homefront and I hope you all are doing good as well....

Have a great day!!!!

What a beautiful day here....WOW! Wish we could have more days like today! Well, we are finally finished on chopping corn...talk about strung out....due to the mud! The crew has a few more days on a project up north of clearing trees and cutting hedge post...if anyone is interested.....we are selling them. We have two semi loads. Next they are headed to the alfalfa field to cut the 5th cutting....again....weather permitting! Calving is going great....we are on the down hill side of it....always a good feeling.

Hope to hear more from the class of 78....thanks Sweetie for continuing to keep this site going....we really appreciate your efforts and keeping us posted to the happenings in F-Town!! You are our ROCK!! Luv you!

Good Morning all....I'm just loving these beautiful days we have been having....:0) Things continue to be busy at Rosener Farms....Big Jer, is going strong on the bean harvest....At this time he is cutting short season beans, so he can turn around and plant some winter wheat...Then he will go back into bean harvest again, etc....I'm beginning to wonder if I can keep up with the guy...WHEW....

The weekend is approaching fast....Any big plans???? We have a wedding this weekend of some dear friends...This is where I get to see Fuzzy and Opie...I can't wait to see them....:0) Both the kids will be home too...Exciting weekend for me...I'm going to enjoy!!!!

Hope you all have a great weekend as well....Enjoy some time with your family and friends....Take care!!!!!

Good Morning classmates...We had a little thunderstorm go through early this morning....It left us about .60 of rain....It is a very gloomy day today, with winds and temps to get into the 60's.....CHILLY!!!!!!

We had a big weekend this weekend....Both of the kids were back HOME ....:0) Some dear friends of ours got married, so we had helped out with rehearsal supper, and had a big night of dancing, drinking milk, and visiting with many people the night of the wedding....Four of the people I totally enjoyed seeing were, Mike and Lisa Compton, and Fuzzy and Keith Compton Mueller...The groom was their nephew...It was great seeing them again...Opie has not changed one bit...LOL...What great people...Made me miss you all....

I want to take this time to wish a wonderful classmate a Happy Birthday....Mike Nespor (Neighbor) aka "Fonz"....Wishing you many more birthdays to come....Hope you have a fantastic day today.....Hugsssss

This was Homecoming weekend for the Fairbury Jr.-Sr. High School...They had their first game in the new athletic complex....I heard that it is a very nice facility.....And yes, we won....GO JEFFS!!!!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are ready to give it your all starting a new work week....Have a great day!!!!

Well, my week needs to keep going because I'm already behind and have a long ways to go...Thats what happens when you have such a great weekend...But I'm not going to give up everything all the time...LOL

09/22/09 08:43 AM #5715

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning from F-Town....It is a bit chilly this morning...Around 50 degrees....The sun is shining so maybe it will give me a bit more energy today...I'm sure hoping something does anyways....

These late night hours and partying over the weekend has kicked my butt...WHEW...I remember a FEW years back it didn't bother me at all...What is up with that??? I don't think it could be an age factor, as I'm not old yet...Maybe it is the time of the year....Used to be I would be rearing to go by the next night, now it takes about 2 days to get caught up....Oh well, give me today yet and I'll be all caught up with things again....

We ended up getting about the same amount of rain in the Daykin area Monday morning..(.60)....Our farms in Kansas, got 1.5 inches...Great rain for the ground to soak up, so we can get our wheat in now...Probably start in again tomorrow or late today...Talking of rain again on Thursday....

Well nothing exciting going on here in Fairbury...Its been kind of quiet...Hoping you all had a great beginning to your work week, yesterday....Today is another day!!!!

Friends are like balloons, if you let them go you can't get them back....

09/22/09 05:03 PM #5716

Cindy Pfingsten (Judd)

Cindy...Sounds like a fun weekend in F-Town with Mike, Lisa, Lori and Keith....and then having your kids home too! I heard bits and pieces about the wedding...through Shawna. If anyone took pictures we would love to see them!

Really nothing new here...working on inventory. Oh yes, we did get another 2 inches of rain yesterday....right after I washed windows ALL weekend long! The crew is sorting pairs into the big pasture since they can not work on their big project of clearing trees up north.

09/23/09 09:03 AM #5717

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning....It is a sunny day in Fairbury this morning....Temps are staying on the cool side....This weekend looks like it could get in the 80's again....

Nothing a bit exciting to tell you all..Just a busy time of year for us....So that is all I take in at the time...Hopefully we will have something wonderful happening in F-Town so I can report in...Don't hold your breath, as it may take awhile for this to happen...LOL

Hope you are all having a great week....Just a few more days till the weekend....Hang in there!!!!!
