Good Morning classmates....We have over cast skies this morning...I'm not sure what the temp. is, but do know it is chilly....Haven't even turned the T.V. on this morning....Been to damn busy already....UGH....Jerry is trying to get into the fields to get some wheat planted...We had a small shower go through last evening, so the ground is a bit to wet to start in...If only the sun would come out, that would help us out....

Jeff...Thank you so much for the video of Dan Nuckolls...Very Touching....

Things are just crazier than normal around here....Oh how I love the farm life....Actually I really do!!!!....I wouldn't know how to act, if I couldn't act crazy....No comments from any of you....LOL

Well the weekend is here again...How time flies when your having fun...Speaking of fun, I hope each and everyone of you have some fun this weekend...Take Care...

This saying is dedicated to the farmer....

There are only 3 seasons for farmers: Before harvest, harvest, and after harvest....

I will say Amen to that....:0)

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good morning classmates....The sun is going to finally shine again today....We had some light showers yesterday...Didn't accumulate a lot of moisture, but enough to stop the planting operation early...Hopefully they can get an early start today...The short days sure do put a crimp on things....

Jerry left for Daykin about an hour ago...Yes, that means I have been up for awhile now...I have the bed made, the laundry going, and Jerry's lunch packed...Now if I can just keep going....The early morning hours make for a long day....

Keilwitz...Can you imagine how crazy I would be if I had too many milks to drink???? I have been there and done it, but am getting to old to handle it anymore...Yes, I can get crazy...LOL...Hope you get in a good mornings sleep and have a great weekend...When are you getting back this way again???? Would love to see you, and have some milk with you...:0)....Take Care!!!!!

Happy Birthday Val!!!!!! Hope you have a fantastic day...Wishing you many more birthdays to come....

I had best keep on going, as I may poop out today....This is going to be a lonnnnnnggggggg harvest....

09/27/09 09:05 AM #5726

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning everyone...It is a bright and beautiful morning out today...Got started back at planting the wheat again yesterday afternoon....80 acres down and many to go...It doesn't help that these darn days are getting shorter all the time...

Not much going on here.(as usual)...I did help my aunt at the bar last night...Sat at the front making sure that no one walked outside with drink in hand...Now that they have the new law of no smoking in the establishment, it is easy for a person to go outside to have a smoke and walk out with the drink as well...So that was my duty last night....Needless to say, I only had to deal with one lady and it was totally an accident...I got home at 2:30....I got up at 6:15...This could be a very very long day...I just need to keep busy all day long and not think about how tired I am....:0)

Hope all of you are having a wonderful weekend...Tell us about what you have done....

Enjoy your day today, because tomorrow it is back to the real world of working...Have a great day!!!!!

Afternoon all....

I have talked with some people who do not have facebook...They would like to have some pictures posted on this website of the weekend of the Fairbury and Nebraska football games....Can anybody help us out??? We need to remember this for future pics, postings etc...
This is our class website, and a lot of time was put into it to get it up and running....This is how a lot of us reconnected, so why not stay in touch with your friends and use the Class of 1978 website....

Thanks
Cindy

09/28/09 08:47 AM #5729

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning all...Its Monday and I know you are all excited about starting in a new work week...LOL...Why is it the weekends go so fast and the work time goes slow??? Time flies when your having fun???? Yesterday we had a very windy day...I will have to say, for Nebraska we haven't had a lot of windy days this summer which is pretty unusual...Kind of chilly today temps around 67 .....

Big Jer is busy planting the wheat now...He will finish in the Daykin area today and move things to Kansas....Hopefully will get done this week so we can get back to the harvest....

Keilwitz...You know I have always been kind of a party animal....Those late night/early mornings sure do kick my butt the older I get...WHEW...I think I just don't ever want to give it up staying up late...It might mean I'm admitting to being old...So as long as I can I will try to be an old party animal....;0) Have a great day!!!!

So I have a question for all of you...I have talked to a few classmates and we are missing talking to each other on this website....We have come up with an idea to set a date and time and ALL classmates can get on and talk....It would be really fun for all...Let me know what you think about this....If we know of classmates that don't visit this website we could leave them a message to join us....

Well I need to get rid of some dust bunnies this morning...They are invading Big Jer and I....I will save the floor cleaning for a later date...;0)

Hope you all have a fatastic day....Take Care!!!!

Another section of pipe fence completed! WHEW!! Boy am I glad of that! I guess I will have to wear this enamel paint off my arms...I have tried everything to get it off! I just hope it stays on the pipe as well as it has my body!

Early Tuesday Morning All!

I'm waiting for one of the girls to finish having her baby....Anyway, I have been thinking. What was the instrument name we use to play in 4th grade...before we could start band? My kids played one too...but they call it a recorder...that is not what we called it ....what was it called? HELP...it is driving me crazy! Well...I'm headed back out to the pasture to see if she has the job done now! NIGHT!

09/29/09 09:00 AM #5735

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good morning classmates....Today is starting out to be a beautiful sun shining day....The temps are to be around 70 today...Talk of rain wednesday night and Thursday...

With rain in the forecast the pedal is to the medal here at Rosener Farms...WHEW...We got moved to Narka Kansas yesterday...We have 3 fields to get planted before tomorrow night...YIKES....Do you think this will happen???? Time will tell...Pray for no break downs...LOL...Big Jer has been putting in some long hours, probably even longer with the rain coming...Hope he can hang in there....:0)

Sweet Pea....The instruments were called tonettes...I didn't realize how annoying I must of been playing it at home until my kids brought them home....LOL....Lisa went on to playing the alto saxaphone clear through high school...So you can only imagine the sounds bouncing off the walls at our house, when she was first learning...Glad you got all the painting done...Has to be a good feeling for you...You have had some great weather for doing it too...:0) WE have balls to the wall here at Rosener Farms....You know what its like...GO GO GO....Then everyone gets tired and grumpy....YIKES...I have myself prepared for when that time comes....UGH...Hope you have a great day!!!! Love you....Miss you....HUGSSSSSS

Wishing you all a wonderful day!!!!!!

The only difference between a good day and a bad day is your attitude.....

09/29/09 10:29 AM #5736

Cindy Pfingsten (Judd)

Sweetie....THANK YOU! Tonettes!! My kids think I do not know what I'm talking about....they kept telling me no, Mom those are recorders! Good Luck with getting the wheat in before the rain...I know we should not complain...but Dave gets so sick of working under the gun because of the rain! WE are again under the rain clock here...they mowed down the 5th cutting of alfalfa....and we are suppose to get rain on Thursday. I just pray the sun stays out and drys the stuff out so I don't have to listen to him grawl about the hay not getting dry!

09/29/09 10:16 PM #5737

Matt Jarchow

Well I thought maybe the cheesehead thing would bring someone out of the wood work. Mr Sell there nothing wrong with a cheesehead....this is a coming from a Bart Starr fan.....and If my memory is correct a QB from the Huskers player there by the name of Jerry Taggee.(SP)And for an old man with a bad should Farve can still smoke the ball.

Sweetie you forgot to tell everyone that there was the first sign of frost here last night.....its only a matter of time. Jim from out west had to send it our way.
And as far as the rain......we all have to battle it. The job we are on now they have moved 100's of yards of dirt in to have it turn to muck and then start the process all over again...three times and counting. Yes talk of rain here also on thursday.

Sweetie Pea.....I don't think that Enamel paint was ment for body art. LOL......Is the Judd ranch trying to set some kind of world record for having the most miles of fence in Kansas??? Has Dave ever heard of the song Don't fence me In??? Had to say it.........

Has anyone heard from that Messing character lately??? Probably got lost a Wal-mart again........

09/30/09 09:03 AM #5738

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good morning all...It is a chilly morning here this morning...Temp is 46 and suppose to get in the upper 60's possibly 70...Chance of rain tonight....40%

Well, the planting was just going great until a big breakdown last night....Big Jer left early this morning to try and get the tractor up and running....They should get the planting done tonight, that is if they get the tractor going....Stressful stressful day....But you know, life if great and thats all that matters....

Little Buddy...Are you complaining on the way I'm writing my weather reports???? Maybe you should just take this over...LOL...I don't know that we had any frost...If we did I missed it...You are getting a bit crotchety (sp) in your old age...LOL Do you really think that I am that stupid to think that the rain only bothers the farmers??? I understand that many jobs are jeopardized because of rain and weather....Why do you think I'm so dumb??? I will have to admit, I'm a bit challenged...:0) I love you anyway...Have a great day Mr. Perfect!!!! LOL.....Hugssssss

Sweet Pea...The sale is approaching fast...Hope you are getting things all organized...Try not to stress yourself out, things will be perfect...I would love to come down to one of your sales sometime...Hugs to you girl....missing you...Love ya...

Well I had best get some more things done around here...Just in case there is a call for me to go get some parts etc...

Wishing you all a great day....Its the middle of the week, don't have many days to go till the weekend again...Take Care

Gratefulness is the key to a happy life that we hold in our hands, because if we are not grateful then no matter how much we have we will not be happy..because we will always want to have something else or something more.....

Didn't freeze hard in town, pumpkins took a hit, tomatoes got the tips alittle bit but that was it... Matt, I thought you guys needed alittle cooling off there, you telling me you don't like it?

Cindy G, I can't believe you let ol' Matt get you worked up like that... Geezzzz

Take care everyone, hope your day goes well...

Jim that is only the tip of the iceberg to get Sweetie's underwear in a knot.....but I will not pull out all the stops.... because she's Sweetie and she didn't yell at me!!! Jim the cold weather is fine for me....actually kind of prefer it....

Sweetie I'm not questioning you weather updates....LOL

Cindy Pfingsten (Judd)

Hey Matt....We turned the fans on to dry this hay out...sorry it is causing you grief in Lincoln....I hope we can turn them off shortly! I'd say it is working cause they are baling and hauling alfalfa fast and furiously! We might need to build another barn ASAP...I'm not sure where they are putting it all...every barn is stuffed!

Jim...sorry I missed you this morning...I have to get on and read the "Morning Post" by Sweetie, to see the happenings and weather report in out friendly town of Fairbury!

Did we ever set a date to have a pajamma on here? I miss laughing and talking to all of you on here! Be thinking about what works for everyone!

Sweet Pea...Please could you turn down your dryers a bit down there????? I hate when it is windy...Of course it will help out on the farm to dry the grain down, so go ahead and keep the dryers going....Have a wonderful day!!!! HUGSSSSS.....

Well the wheat planting is finished...YIPPEEEEE....The machinery is moved back to Daykin, now it is back to bean harvest....Oh my we have so much going on here I can hardly keep up with all of it....I just try keep smiling...:0)

I want to wish Big Jer a Happy Birthday today....He gets to do what he always wants to do on his B-Day...Harvest...I always ask him what he would like for his birthday and he always says to harvest...So it a cheap present for me...I made his lunch and sent him on his way.
