Hello folks....

Still continue to be busy...Thats good...Keeps me out of trouble...LOL..Of course I really don't know what kind of trouble I could get into here...LOL...Maybe I should look and see if I can....

We have been having beautiful weather the last few days....Temps in the 80's....I love this temp and could have this year around...I'm afraid that we won't have a fall and go right into winter...I'm not liking that at all....Someone told me this winter is going to be worse than last year...YIKES!!!!!  I thought last year was pure misery and long....

We did get some rain on Monday...1.20 in the Daykin area..... .80 in F-Town.... and the winner is Narka Ks...2.30....Hopefully it will help the crops out and not be to late...

Speaking of the weather, it is the perfect weather for some football....High School football had their scrimmage last weekend....The Cornhuskers will have their first game next weekend.....Getting pretty pumped up for it....How many of you classmates are attending the football weekend????  I'm sure I will not be able to attend as we are getting things ready for harvest and since I'm the only hired man (woman) Big Jer has around I will be right by his side...Probably giving him suggestions....Don't know that he will like to hear them, but I will give them anyway....Thats just how I work....You never know I may come up with a wonderful plan....probably not in his books, but it may be in mine...LOL....It will be fun for us, don't you think???

Good to hear you are coming back to F-town to visit.....Maybe we could get together for some ice cold milk (s)....I would sure enjoy that....:0)

Keilwitz, yes, quiet around here too....It seems so empty....But the kiddos do call me often, and I love that...Even if we have nothing to much to share with each other...Its nice to hear their voices....

Well, need to shower up and get something together for dinner tonight....

Wishing you all a great evening....Hope you all are having great weather....

Weather been nice, lots of sunshine, cooling down at night... Well take care, need to stuff ready to go... Have a good weekend...

Hello mates....

It continues to be rather hot out....The last couple days it was around 97 with heat index at 100...On top of that was winds 100 mph...well I may be stetching that a bit, but they were definately strong....Today, is hot as well but it is just strong breeziness....Chances of rain tonight and possibly cooler weather coming....:0)

The corn is ripening awfully fast...We could be in the fields by this weekend even...WHEW...Don't know if I have all my ducks in a row quite yet, but I can bet you it will work out if I don't...Just such a busy time of year....

Not much must be going on in any of your lives...Haven seen hardly any posts since I was on and it has been awhile since I posted,...sorry....

Keilwitz...You going camping this weekend???  It is the big Labor Day weekend...A lot of people use this as the last camping weekend of the summer....My parents go to Wakefield Ks every weekend in the summer..Of course it got flooded this year, so they had to miss a few weekends...But as of last weekend they are back on track....They usually camp till at least the end of September....Which to me is the best camping there is....Not as hot and cools down in the evenings....Perfect for me!!!  Sounds like you have been keeping busy and staying out of trouble, so that is a good thing...LOL...You were never trouble, were You??????  Stories I'm sure you don't want to share with your kids....LOL...You have a great long weekend...Try to relax for a change....

Sweet Pea....Hope the cows and babies are all doing well on the Ranch....These winds could probably blow them over...YIKES....Hope you are finding some time to relax a bit....Are there still babies being born????  How many now????  You have a great weekend also, (even though I know how that works, it is no different than any other day of the week)....Take Care...love ya

Wishing you all the most wonderful weekend....And what more could make this weekend any better......GO BIG RED!!!!!!  Go Skers!!!!!

Happy Friday to you all!!!  Just thought I would take a quick minute to post something since I haven't been very good at my duties lately....

It is Friday of Labor Day weekend.....Long weekend for many of you and a short week next week....Pretty nice!!!!  Enjoy!!!!

Since the last posting we have had rain....We ended up with about 3 inches in Daykin and Narka....So now, to muddy to harvest yet, and the elevators are closed Sunday and Monday...UGH....

The temps have been amazingly wonderful....Kinda of chilly this morning even...But a beautiful morning it is....

Gotta run....Need to travel by gravel and go to the farm.....

Wishing you all a terrific long weekend....

GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning classmates....And what a beautiful morning it is in F-Town this morning...No wind and the temps is around  54  ....Sunday and Monday the winds blew so hard....It was not enjoyable to be outside that is for sure...

The Labor Day weekend is over and that is what we did for excitement here...We labored all weekend....I don't get why everybody gets so excited for this holiday...LOL  But I hope you all had a great holiday...Would love to hear what all of you did....

Today is officially the first day of harvesting corn for us....Ready or not here we go!!!!!  It is going to be a long long harvest....Big Jer gave me a list a mile long this morning of things I need to do today....HMMMM....Does he not realize I have my own to do lists...LOL...Oh, I will get his list done first and then on to mine....If mine don't get done then so be it....Then he will probably call yet and want me to do something on the farm yet....I know exactly how he works....Thats what happens when I've been married to him for so long...I can pretty much read his mind...LOL

Seen some pics. on facebook of some classmates that went to the Nebraska game....Need to post some pics. on here mates...So everybody can enjoy them...

Well need to get to working on all the lists in this house...Don't know how much I will get to get on till after harvest, but will try to check in once in a awhile...

Wishing you all a great day!!!!

I hope everyone has a chance to enjoy the beautiful day we are having today!

Cindy, Your Labor Day Weekend sounds a lot like ours!  Lily asked me what special holiday this was...since she didn't have school.  I told her it is to honor people for there hard work...giving them a day off.  She then said...so why is my Daddy, Uncle Brent and Poppy working?  I told her, because they don't know how to take a day off!

Take Care!

Good Morning All, Happy husker day to ya....Well summer must be starting to wind up, 37 degrees out this morning, the sun is starting to set alot sooner... Just Ty and myself home this weekend, Laurie and some friends went to Lincoln to meet up with Morgan and Abby for the game... Then they scored some volleyball tickets for tonite, that should be a good game... Haven't had a whole lot of time to do stuff, works been crazy, busy, busy, and they say it could keep growing the rest of the year... should make it interesting, we are already short of people and anybody that was layed off is back to work...

Did get some rain the other nite, around and inch, sure needed it...Wheat farmers were planting in dust..

well guys, gotta go, have a good weekend...

09/11/10 10:31 AM #6775

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning all....Wow...Didn't realize it had been so long since I had posted....Time flies when your having fun or else when your running circles around yourself...Whew it has been busy crazy around here and it is only beginning...Just barely beginning....Yikes...I think we have a long haul ahead of us....

We have had some gloomy, heavy misty days this last week....Today looks like the perfect day!!!  Perfect day for some Nebraska Football....Go Skers!!!!

Keilwitz....Sounds like the women in your family are going to have a fun filled weekend....:0)  So glad they get the time to do those girls things together...And you and Ty, I'm sure will have some great men time together as well...:0)....I thought as we got older our work load was suppose to lessen....WTH happend with that???  LoL....I guess we should be thankful that we can still work hard and get our work done....Wishing you a great weekend....Glad you stopped by and posted on the sight...Take Care....

Sweet Pea....I know without asking that you have to busy too....I loved the story of Lily asking what holiday it was...So true that these darn men don't take  a day off very often...Hope all is well at the ranch....Tell everybody hello for me...Take Care..Hugs

Well need to get some things done here in case I'm needed else where sometime today...I just never know....Pretty much on call all the time....Love it though!!!!

Hope you all have the greatest weekend.......

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Day Mates!!!!

Well it has been a bit crazy around here and that includes the weather as well....We have only gotten a start on the corn harvest and still have a long ways to go and also beans too....We received 3.80 inches of rain the night before last and another .30 last night...Sooooo it will be awhile before we can get back into the fields again....Now this is one reason I do not like fall harvest....We got and early start this year, but it will linger on and on and on....Life is great though!!!!

What is everybody up to these days....Everybody is definately keeping to themselves it seems looking at the postings....You guys know I hate talking to myself....:0/

Big Jer got everything serviced and ready to go whenever the time comes....It just can't come soon enough...He will be biting at the bullet before the time gets here....I guess I should make him a honey do list for when he gets some idle time...Don't you think????

I really don't know a lot, because I haven't been anywhere to learn anything....hmmmm...As far as I know things are doing great in FTown....

Hope you all have an amazing day!!!!  Take Care....Talk to me!!!!

09/16/10 02:28 AM #6777

Cindy Pfingsten (Judd)

Good Early Morning!

Since I hate to see Cindy GR talking to herself I thought I had better write!  Same stuff here.....We got a good all day down pour.....not at all what we needed this time of year!  The crew felt they were finally able to catch up a bit.....but now they will feel behind once again!  Seems we have been trying to catch up for 3 years!!  Now it will be several days  before we can start on harvest, trim cattle for the sale, build more fence....clear more trees...and their list goes on..............!!  More list then they have time for!  I just did my last cow/heifer/recip check, the girls all seem happy...a little soggy out there, with no dry place to lay down.  Sorry girls...This cowgirl is NOT giving up her dry bed!

WHEW..................TOO quiet here on this forum....where is everyone?  Is there a home Nebraska game this weekend??  Your life has to be more exciting then mine...hope to hear from YOU!

09/20/10 11:43 AM #6778

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning all....

First of all, thank you Sweet Pea for joining in with me....I do hate talking to myself....You made me smile!!!!

Today we are officially back in the field again....Of course they are talking of rain, the next 3 days....Hoping we can miss out on this....It would be great to continue to get get some of these crops out of the fields for a while...We have a long road to hoe yet....Its great to take advantage of the wonderful weather we are having today....It is warming up a bit which will help out the crops as well....

Nothing to much has been going on in my life right now...Just have most of my concentration on farming and probably will till things are finished...Who knows how long it will be....:0/  I just pretty much take each and everyday and try to make the best of what hits me....I am truly blessed, so going to enjoy each and every day....

How about them Huskers last week???  They are coming back!!!  Have some work to do yet, but it looks promising....:0)

This time of year gets on my nerves when it comes to the temps....So do we need air conditioning or the heater going????  It sure can change from day to day....

I hope all is well with everybody....Have a fantastic work week!!!!

Good Morning All, Hope your lives are  going smoothly... Beautiful morning today, sunshine, about 50 degrees, just makes ya feel good...

Cindy G, Yes those Huskers look alot better and such a young team, they're playing good this year... What will they be like next year? And the volleyball team, sounds like they are coming on strong... Around our house, just working and trying to get an early start on getting things winterized... Jet ski is done, thinking about starting on the boat next, couple of weeks probably will need to start on planters around the house... Hasn't froze in town yet, I think it was last week outside of town most of the stuff got hit...

Well you guys have a good week...

Hello!!!1

Well the harvest is off again....We have been having showers again today....UGH....I wish we could at least get a few good days in...We no more get started and its time to stop again....Someday!!!

We have been not having bad temps but the humidity and ran has been kicking our butts...It is so gloomy today I could just lay down and take a nap, then wake up and do nothing...That is exactly what kind of day it is...No energy today....

With or without energy I have to keep going....To many things to catch up on at the homefront....

Keliwitz...Nice hearing from you....I need to do the fall yardwork too....It is to wet today and when it dries off Big Jer will be back in the field and I need his truck to haul away all the branches, bushes, etc....A no win thing for me....Take Care and keep checking in to the site..We love having you visit with us...

Sweet Pea...What is going on down at the Ranch these days...I'm sure it is busy whatever it is...Hope you are getting some ME time....I just took the time to get the works done on the hair this morning...Wow I was overdue....YIKES....Not a good situation...LOL....Take Care and tell all hello on the ranch...

The weekend is approaching, heres wishing you all a great weekend....Take Care

Hello!

WOW!  Fall is here, I believe!  I just did a check on the girls in the pasture, it is nippy out there!

Sweetie, you know my life by now!  There is lots of clean up to do before that day....10/10/10!   I still have one more painting project I would like to do before sale day...but I need to strip the old paint off first.  UGH!  My Mom and Dad were here for a few days.  I always love having them here....such a treat!  My Dad stayed busy with projects around the house that no one around here EVER can find the time to do.  I very much appreciate all that he does for me. My grandkids absolutely adore my Dad too, tagging along behind his every step!  I count my lucky stars to have had such a great roll model in my life, as my step father has been to me!  I'm Blessed!

Good Morning All, Nice day out today, this fall weather has been great... Really quiet here, everyone in school, so I'm just waiting to go to work, should be around 11 this morning.... Looks like the harvest should be moving along smoothly unlike last year...

Well gang have a good week, at least we won't have any Husker heart attacks this week...

09/30/10 09:27 PM #6783

Jim Keilwitz

Hello All, Whats new? Well, it's homecoming week for us, so we have a few extra things going on in school...  I'm glad they still do these things, I look around at what the kids have to do now a days and it really isn't much... I look at our town and some of the surrounding towns and they don't even have a place for the kids to hang out... I look back at the ol' Sweden Creme and all the crusing we did, maybe we were luckier than I ever knew...

So whats going on with everybody else? Talked to my little brother and it sounds like harvest time in eastern Ne. is getting a good start... Said they have dry land corn out and ready to start on the beans next...

Well Gang, catch ya next time..

10/02/10 10:25 AM #6784

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Top of the morning to you all.....These beautiful days we have been having are wonderful...Excellent harvest weather that is for sure....We have been extremely busy with our fall harvest....The corn is finished and now on to the beans....We may have a break in there as some of the beans aren't quite ready yet...The crops have okay so far, but definately lost some yields with that hot and dry weather we had...So you had to know I would complain about something, cuz thats what farmers do, huh???

Tyler came back yesterday and is helping Dad out this weekend....That is good for Dad as he is getting pretty tired and worn out...Been some long hard days....Plus he had a birthday yesterday so that makes him a year older..LOL...Lisa is planning on coming next weekend, so he will have some more help....We are so lucky the kids still love to come back and help on the farm....

Keilwitz, I totally agree with the whole bit about things for kids to do....The Sweden Creme was a good hang out place....Even though I was usually working, at least I could watch people drive by and wave and people would come in....But I do remember thinking this town had nothing to do and was boring back in the day....There isn't much to offer for the kids to do here now either...

Well I have to get some cooking done, laundry done, shopping done, whew I think I have a full day today....Isn't this the weekend???  Oh yea I forgot, It don't make a damn bit of difference what day of the week it is.,..LOL

Enjoy these fall days...Have a great weekend...Take Care..

Oh, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY LITTLE BUDDY....TODAY IS A DAY TO CELEBRATE YOU!!!!

Hello Mates,

I have not been on for awhile, my bad. I have a sense that this site going to go by the wayside.

I hope not, but the usage doesn't look real good. Is there something that we could do?? Is Facebook or something else hurting it?? We at least would have a little feed back on it, now nothing. I'am to blame for not getting on as much also but we used to have alot of regulars.

Even with facebook, what the hell would it hurt for someone to get on here just for a little Chat for the ones who don't give a shit about it.

Jim K/west, Cindy G/R, Cindy P/J, Matt. Thanks for keeping this alive. I will try to get on here more, at least i'am trying to make a attempt. I'am sorry, but everyone who thought this was such a great site all of a sudden just SHIT on it......Yes I'am PISSED.

Disappointed with the CLASS OF 78

Good day Classmates....What a beautiful day it is here in F=Town...We have been having some amazing fall weather here...It sounds as though for the next week or more it is to be the same....:0)

Harvest is still going and will be for a while...We are cutting some soy beans now and the crops are varying on each field...Big Jer is trying to figure all this out...He thinks he knows and then he rethinks...Keeps him on his toes...Not that he hasn't been or won't be till harvest is over...We had some crops that were better than the irrigated...Don't make much sense...Does it???  We aren't going to complain that is for sure....All the farmers are so lucky to have the great weather to get a lot of crops out of the fields...A lot different than last year....

Jerry and I decided last night over a very late dinner..UGH...That we need about 36 hours in a day....It has been crazier than crazy, but we will git-er-done....:0)

Bill...Nice to hear from you....Thank you for giving the classmates hell...They don't seem to like to listen to this old gal...LOL...Maybe you will be able to get through to them...I hope so...I truly do miss chatting and hearing from ALL the classmates...By the way, I hear you were in town...Where was my phone call for a beer, my dearest friend????  I have spies out there to tell me when the classmates are in town....LOL...You can about guess where I heard it....Next time you damn well be calling...LOL...I know you were probably very busy....No excuses next time though...Okay????  Tell Barb hello and I will try my hardest on getting on here more...We are just swamped at this time...Maybe a pajama party to celebrate when harvest is over....

Classmates you heard what Mr. Bill said...It would be nice to hear from all of you, even if it is just once in awhile....Lets keep connected!!!!!!!!

Wishing you all a wonderful day and hoping you all get to enjoy this fantastic fall weather...

Take Care all!!!!!!

Good Morning All, Great day starting, clear skies and a nice fall temperature out... Enjoyed the Husker game last night, sure looked alot better than the last time they played... Now on to the next one, Texas I'm sure it should be tough, since they don't want to loose 3 in a row...

Just trying to get some fall things done here, boat is winterized, just need to get it parked and covered... Been slow at getting things done since the weather has been so nice, guess I need a cold snap to push me... Well you guys have a good weekend, going to work around 2pm so need to get a few things done...

YEP..........Still have Red that runs through these veins of mine!  Good thing my kids don't get on here and read this!

Have a GREAT DAY Everyone!

10/09/10 02:20 PM #6789

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good afternoon all....

We are continuing to have the beautiful fall weather...yesterday, I believe it got up to 89....It seemed a bit warm...LOL..Talking of it being in the 60's this next week...

Both of the kids came home to help us out with the harvest....We love that they do this...It helps out so much, plus Dad might get a little tiny break in there long enough to eat a bite without eating on the go...Me, on the other hand, do everything I always do plus some...But, I love to have them come back and cook some homecooked meals for them...Makes my nest so full  again...

How about them Huskers the other night....WOW...They looked damn good, huh???  That quarter back is doing a fantastic job and only a freshman...He is not afraid of anything, but I worry he is going to get hurt with all his gutsiness....Maybe that is a motherly instinct....:0/

Well peeps, I need to make some baked beans for dinner tonight, switch the laundry around, empty the dishwasher and clean the kitchen AGAIN....

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend....Have a great day!!!

10/11/10 11:55 AM #6790

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Happy Monday to you all....

We had a great harvest weekend...The kids were here and helped us out tremendously...Wow did they ever!!!  So nice they love to come back and work on the farm....And we appreciate all the hard work they put in...

I cooked up a bunch of food this weekend and then sent some home with them...Fun for me and deloicious for them....Helps them out to, as they don't have to cook when they get home from work and school...Just warm it up and its ready to go....

The harvest is still going full force and will be for awhile...We just take it one day at a time...About all we can do...

When I went to the farm in Kansas yesterday, I enjoyed the beauty of the trees turning their fall colors...Man it is a pretty sight to see...If you get the chance you need to get out in the country and look at the masterpiece the trees have painted for us....

Sweet Pea....I believe your sell was this last weekend...I hope you had a great turn out and things went well for you....I know you had everything in perfect order, cuz that is just what you do...You should of had beautiful weather as well....Now for all the clean-up and book work for you to do...I think of you guys often....Miss you....

Well I got to get some book work done myself....

Wishing you all a great week....Enjoy yourselves each and every day...

Morning!

WOW!!  We had quite the rain, along with lightning and thunder through the night...I guess it helped settle the dust after our sale!  We had a great sale this past weekend....maybe one of our best Female Sales!  They are a lot of work, and always glad to get them behind us, but they are our pay check!  Now Cindy you are right, we are working on paper work, clean up and getting cattle to their new homes either by us delivering them or finding trucking!

Cindy, Isn't it amazing, with having the kids home how it gvies you such a boost of energy! Plus,  the fact you got another chunk of crop out of the field!  I bet Tyler and Lisa hated to go, as much you hated to see them go this past weekend!  And then to take back with them, Mom's cooking?  Life is good!!  I know there is no way we could handle this place without the help of our sons now, with their wives!  We are certainly Blessed!

I had better get back to my desk and get these loads faxed off....headed out this afternoon to wean spring calves!

Howdy CLASSMATES!

I just thought I'd drop in and bid a TOP OF THE DAY TO YA!  I would trust you're getting greared up for the NE/TX game.  I REALLY hope we can make ground round out of Bevo.  It should be a good game and beautiful weather.

I've had a very busy summer and beginning of fall.  Seems like there's never enough hours in the day.  I'm hoping one day things will slow down a bit.

I had the opportunity to watch some of the miners being rescued.  This my friends is simply AMAZING!  I'm so happy for them and their families.  I just can't imagine what it would be like to be stuck a 1/2 mile under ground for two months!  I wish them all the very best.

Well, lunch break is about over, I will let you go.  Toodles!
