1989...Wow...How time has changed things. I'm living in Ames with my "blended" (love that word) wonderful family...After 8 years at Mercy in DSM working in the Ped Intensive Care Unit, I started working at the hospital as a Labor and Delivery Nurse...my dream job!! I'm thinking about becoming a Midwife...we'll see what happens when I grow up (OR get our youngest in school). Wayne and I want to move to Texas....however, timing is everything.

....how much can I remember (really)?? I do think the story that has been retold the most would be the crazy Washington D.C. trip....From FHS I went into nursing.. graduated from the now defunct Iowa Methodist School of Nursing in 1996...the same year my mom died. Worked and had babies...then decided to return to school for my Bachelors...graduated 2006 from GrandView. I considered that a stepping stone towards my dream of becoming a midwife...now I am almost to the crossroad of what's next?...I don't know...I'm thinking more along the lines of a women's health nurse practioner...we'll see if my school story has come to a close...Oh...and I HATE it when I have trouble figuring out my kids' homework....
