50th Reunion

FCHS Royalty

Hello fellow Jaguars!

Which ones of our “Royals” will be with us at our 50th Reunion in October?

Vicki Anthony was our Homecoming Queen and Denise Taylor was the Maid of Honor. Janet Bounds and Jeanne Francis were the Senior Class representatives.  The dance was held in the cafeteria; the theme was “Stairway to Heaven;” and the band was Cape Horn.  The Freshmen class won the float competition with a reproduction of a loaf of Wonder bread with the sign “Put the Squeeze on Woodson.”  Question:  Vicki and Denise, who escorted you on the football field on Friday night?

Michele Barbaro was not only crowned Miss Falls Church High School but also was awarded the trophies for Best Talent and Miss Congeniality.   Our Junior classmate, Patti Conrad, was the First Runner-up.  Loo Stevens was Third Runner-Up and Debbie McKinney was Forth Runner Up.

The wonderful Molly Macauley was our Sweetheart Queen.  Christy Nolan, Robin Samelson and Simmy Murdock were our Senior Class representative.  The dance was held in the cafeteria.  “Traces of Love” was the theme, and Blue Shadow was the band.

And closing our our royalty rollcall, is our Prom Queen, Janice Jamison.  Her court included seniors, Terri Genduso, Dot Knauer, Val Lutz, Diane Hartell, and Sue Haase.  We held the Prom at the Twin Bridges Marriott and Liberty was the band.  Question:  Does anyone remember the theme?

Who is missing from this distinguished list of royalty?  Who still has her crown?  And who will be at our reunion in October?

Bring your crown and come join us!

So get your reservations in!

It’s been 50 years since we graduated and it’s fun looking at what some of our classmates have been up to. Congrats to Mark Greene, our Senior Class President, for his recent best seller, Lobster Wars!  https://www.markegreeneauthor.com/novels

And to Diane Ward for her work in poetry!  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diane_Ward

What other literary talents from the Class of ’75 are out there?

See you in October!
