Nice dell...see I can do the no caps for a name also! LOL

06/23/09 12:35 AM #55

Dell James

you are kidding me, you read that post and all you got out of it was the lower case h of your name? Really?

06/23/09 12:50 PM #56

Derrick Hagler

No, That's why I put the lol after. Why so serious.

I too think that it's a great idea but you already know that b/c we discussed it months ago in pool league. I'm guessing that saying "everyone & hagler" is some sort of compliment, at least that's how i'll take it.

Whatever is decided for saturday night I can refer a great D.J. / K.J. if the situation calls for such.

06/24/09 01:01 AM #57

Dell James

Excellent. I have been called a lot of things in my life, god knows...... but never serious.

Hope everyone is doing well.

OK - sorry i haven't checked the forum in a while. i'm currently on vacation in iowa and you know they barely have phone lines in this tiny town i'm in (altho they just legalized gay marriage, they are not progressive enough for major telecommunications - ha). so i'll tackle the issues you all have posed quickly: 1) can i have a "bye" on the random things for now and pass to hagler with a capital H? 2) i'm thankful you all are checking on a banquet site and i'm up for anything you choose and 3) the friday get-together at dell's sounds good - thanks for offering...and 4) i think i can summon up some non-scandalous pics from the 10-year once i get home :)

OMG, that 20 yr...20 things took alot from me (lol)!
I'm thinking here, oh yeh......adding my .02 about the reunion....just want to say thanks to you Dell for offering to host the Friday night "family meet & greet" at your home.
Has anyone mentioned having a possible slide show shown during the dinner on Saturday night, just think it would be a nice addition to the reunion (maybe senior pics of everybody, sports, clubs, etc...with '80's music playing in the background)?
I may be jumping the gun, but had to mention it while it was on my mind.

I would love to read that article Cyn!

06/29/09 01:56 PM #70

Sam Day

Okay, thanks Cynthia....I hate these things, but here it goes! 20 random things about me...

1. My dream job would be to drive full time on the Nascar Circuit!
2. I hate these lists, especially when they come in the form of a chain email!
3. First, I can't believe I will have a son starting college in the fall of 2010! Secondly, I can't believe how expensive it is going to be to send him off to college! I am going to have to take a second job or start selling crack on the street corner or something!
4. One of the proudest moments for my son and I was watching him play football his sophomore year and winning a state championship at Farmersville!
5. I also had a crush on Ms. Hunt! I can recall sneaking up on the playground and kissing her on the back all thanks to a dare from Beau! Seeing her years later brought back fond memories, and she is still a beautiful lady today!
6. Some of the weirdest foods I have eaten were monkey and iguana meat in Panama and dog meat (kegogi) in Korea! Hey, when you are drunk, anything tastes good!
7. My hobby is racing stock cars at the local dirt track...I know it is a redneck thing I suppose! That will be the first thing I have to give up in order to support my son in college I am afraid!
8. I have been happily married to the same woman for over 17 years now! I have two beautiful children. My son Sean, who will be a senior this year at Farmersville and my daughter Sommer, who will be a freshman at Farmersville!
9. I can't believe I still love to listen to all the 80's hair metal bands!
10. I have travelled the world, unfortunately it has been mostly in 3rd world countries while being shot at!
11. My first and last concerts that I have attended were both KISS!
12. The funniest memory I have from high school was when Hagler passed out in the Cotton Bowl at the Monsters of Rock tour and we had to pick him up at the First Aid Station...lol
13. I lost more bar fights than I ever won back when I was full of piss and vinegar!
14. I pray that my son and daughter do not make the same mistakes that I did growing up!
15. I have spent more than one night in jail for being drunk and stupid!
16. I absolutely despise two-faced people!
17. I hate driver's who do 60 in the left lane and another driver is doing 59 in the right lane! My philosophy is to lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way!
18. Suprisingly, my younger brother Dan owns his own business, and is highly successful at it! Not sure how the hell he did it, considering he barely made it through high school, but my hat is off to him!
19. I still hate to think about that loss to Pilot Point in the playoff's!
20. My daughter is an absolute Twilight Series freak! I can't stand it, but all I do is hand out the money with no input whatsoever! lol...

06/29/09 01:57 PM #71

Sam Day

Oh, yeah....Tag Stevie!

06/29/09 04:08 PM #72

Shannon White (Caldwell)

Hi there....we're narrowing down the venues and hope to have something nailed down.

Cynthia, a slide show is high up on the list of "passive activities" for Saturday night. (And part of the venue request includes screen and projector.

Definitely could use a volunteer any Takers, takers????
And the slide show could easily be burned onto multiple CDs and each of us can take that away as our "memory book." So this a great chance for all you closet nerds to come to my rescue (Dell didn't you say you were a closet nerd?)

One of the reasons for the 20 years, 20 random things is to use it in some capacity Saturday night...perhaps as an icebreaker or a trivia "contest" so I hope you're reading and remembering :)

More to come!!!

06/29/09 04:46 PM #73

Derrick Hagler

Hey! What are you talking about Sam! I didn't pass out from smoking the refer at the Texas Jam...oops you didn't say that part did you? Damn now I'll have to become a Democrat to run for president.

Now I have to whip your ass. How's saturday sound? Wear something red that you don't mind getting messed up.

D.

06/29/09 09:10 PM #74

06/29/09 09:16 PM #75

Sam Day

By the way, has anyone heard of any updates on Jeff's condition?

06/30/09 12:51 AM #76

Beau Bridges

I went in and saw him today. They're still keeping him unconscious. It's weird seeing one of your best friends like that but ya gotta stay positive.

06/30/09 10:51 AM #77

Derrick Hagler

It's strange but I was just told that the doctor asks that we stay quiet and not touch him.
