Cne'-I can not perform my rendition of "Oh Sheila" due to copyright infringement. The members of Ready for the World have not given me their express written consent to perform the song any longer...lol!!

Spain-I had completely forgotten all about that talent show! I pray that nobody has video of that ridiculous lip sync performance! The only good thing about that was the actual song blaring out of Spain's amp!

Hagler-We had some good times in the bat cave! We used to always hang out at Beau's, usually when his sister had the cheerleading squad over to swim in the pool! lol!!!

Hagler-I got to looking at your pictures on your profile and I forgot about handing the marble off at graduation! That was hilarious!

Renee Latimer (Flint)

Wasn't it Dale that brought all the marbles for us? Poor Mr. Hemby, he had to have help with handing out the diplomas. His pockets were overflowing with the marbles. Just think of how lucky we were living in the small town back then. If our kids were to try something like that; they would get in major trouble.

I didn't even know you guys did that or at least I don't remember it! My poor dad! Needless to say he got a kiss on the cheek from me that night instead of a marble.

I was looking at Hagler's (I think) pics on his profile and saw that he was shaking Donny Mason's hand so was it Donny who got them?

Derrick Hagler

If I remember correctly they changed halfway through b/c their pockets were full.

I'll let you have that one because it's Friday and I've had too much shit going on to deal out a verbal whipping.

Mom's in the hospital with an infection called M.R.S.A.
Potentially fatal if not treated properly.
Stephanie had to leave the office this morning because her ex-husband & daughter were in an accident and hasn't returned yet. Clients are extra needy today, corporate is extra slow in responding to me and I haven't had lunch yet.

F my life

It was actually Dr. Dickson guys! My dad called out our names, very quickly, that night due to the rain! He switched to give me my diploma and Donny switched to give Mindy hers. That's why you saw Donny in the picture, Nicole. He was on the school board at the time.

Come on guys, 20 years wasn't that long ago!! LOL!

I had to say that, because I couldn't even remember myself. My mom and dad had to remind me!!

I hadn't seen if there was resolution on this, but I wanted to bring up the DJ...if Hagler's friend can do it, I'd be all for it, even if it means spending an extra couple hundred or a bit more. Just as long as he has a vast collection of 80s music and as long as he can hand over the mike when Drowning Pool decides to serenade us with something special they might write in honor of the class of '89.....What say you all? Thanks.

just a though, have we even checked with the venue about being able to bring in a DJ?

i could care less one way or the other, if it makes it more expensive so people don't come, then i'm against it. I think if we have a DJ / Kareoke (no idea how to spell that) then we should incorporate it into the reunion. All names go into a hat and get drawn out, those two (one girl one guy maybe) gets up and sings a song that has been put in the hat by everyone. Maybe 4 people at a time, way to get people to act like a fool, ie. have fun, and mix spouses, partners, girlfriends, boyfriends, escorts (didn't want to leave you out hagler) into the mix.

I am not saying that specifically, but something like it, if it is just to have music in the background, then i say save the 300 dollars and buy booze, food, games, whatever with it. If we are going to use it as fun, then lets do it. Personally I would love to see Patrick sing Air Supply.....again. I haven't heard his rendition of "all out of love" since our jr year and the great julie break up of 88.

and to save time....hagler I like you that is why i give you a hard time. I dont think you will bring an escort to the reunion. A good one is far too expensive!

Shannon,

I would like to say thanks for all the hard work you've put into this.
I hope everyone appreciates you taking time out of your personal schedule to make this happen.

Kindest regards,

Derrick

Sounds like we were the ones missing something Dell.

Chris Spain

wow, haven't read in a couple weeks and all this to catch up on.

Derrick caught a possibly fatal infection... ( he was warned.. ) Which is frustrating Shannon because she moved the party to a hotel room in FRISCO ?

man.. and Dell.. Why are you bringing Derrick an escort and not me? Oh wait, I get it.. That's why you were asking if anyone wanted to save the 300 dollars and do a swinger thing. Guess that solves the question of how do I bring my wife and my girlfriend at the same time issue.

Jamaica mawn...

Derrick Hagler

That's funny!!!

it's even funnier when you think about why he chose you instead of me to escort his girlfriend...

Jonah (Michael) Porter

I can't believe anyone brought up Outrage... I have recordings on CD!!

My 20 Things:

1) I collect weird stuff. I have over 300 clone trooper Star Wars figures and at least 30 of each: Superman's, Batman's, GI Joes and Gundam's.

2) I've been a youth minister for about 10 years now. Who'da thunk?

3) I still collect comics

4) I am finishing my degree so I can go to seminary. (Fr. Porter?)

5) I legally changed my name to Jonah a year ago, but many old friends still call me Porter or Michael. Any of the three is fine.

6) I have a 17, 16, 11 and 9 year old, all boys but the 9 yr old...

7) ...and Robyn is pregnant.

8) I married Rita Vinson right out of high school (or it felt like it..) and she left me 3 years later. I haven't spoken to her in years and am grateful for that.

9) I'm not a "fun" youth minister. I hate playing stupid games and have no patience for kids who think they are funny but are just annoying. Kids either love me or hate me, and I'm fine with that. Its not my job to make them like me.

10) Most of my best friends are, at least, agnostic if not antagonistically atheist.

11) Have never regretted giving up playing in rock bands.

12) ok, that was a freaking lie.

13) I have one really smart dog and one really stupid one, i can't figure out which I like best.

14) I am all MAC, all the time.

15) If I could go back and live in Corpus Christi again, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

16) While I like to hear or tell story's about the "old days" I never dwell on them. Looking back makes it hard to see where you're going.

17) Too many of my friends have died.

18) I don't know how my wife puts up with me, I'm lazy and messy.

19) I think the last 5 years of Battlestar Galactica was the best damn TV show in the last 20 years, and it beat the hell out of Star Wars Episodes I, II or III.

20) I second guess myself a lot and sometimes agonize over things I've said, hoping that no one was offended. Then, other days, I don't give a rip what anyone thinks.

Spent the last week on a road trip with my kids, big fun. It all ended with a weekend in San Antonio. Just an FYI, if you are thinking of stopping by cowboys training camp....dont.
