Class Of 1978
78'ers Now
Many people are beginning to make contact with each other and getting together to "Gear Up" for the reunion. Here are some pictures of different ones who have met up......I guess you could call it "Reunion Practice" or the "Calm B4 the Storm" for us "middle aged Dragons".........Please submit any photos you would like added to this page via my regular email. (terre_turner@yahoo.com)
Several got together at a "Bike Show" in south St. Joseph at Jackson Cycle on April 19, 2008.

April 20, 2008 Rich and Terre were in Agency doing some repair work....Gary & Lori Dye and Wayne & Sandra Major cruised on by.....Lori calls these visits "drive by's".

Rhonda cracking jokes again!!
Big discussion going on here.....
Our very own "Vanna"
How big was it Jennifer???
Who was she making fun of this time?
STOP with the camera!
Debbie making her way with her invisible walker to collect the prize for having the most grandkids (10).
Rhonda getting in the groove...we forgot to set up the pole for her to dance with.
Checking out all of Jenifer's OLD pictures from days gone by. Funny stuff here!!
A drawing was held for a quilt that Lori made. The quilt "Past and Present" has our Senior Class Picture on the backside. Rhonda was the happy recipient and asked everyone to sign the quilt. Thank you Lori for creating a treasure and congrats Rhonda on winning, we know you will cherish this quilt for many years to come.
After a very enjoyable evening of "catching up" the majority of the girls decided to go out on the town and indulge in some good ol fashioned fun! Our first stop was to check in on our good ol friend, Wayne Major. He was kind enough to leave his gated driveway open for us! Thanks again Wayne. A big thank you also to Gary Dye for chauffeuring us around and putting up with all of us women!
Liz showing us how it's done....
We went to a lot of trouble "teepeeing" this van only to discover later it was Wayne's daughter's van!!
But we knew who this nice bike belonged too!!
Julie working so hard on "stringing" the fence....nice job Julie!!
And Rhonda made sure the yard ornaments were covered too!
BUSTED!! Poor Linda almost pee'd her pants when Wayne came out of the house hollering....look at her face..I do believe she was startled a bit!
Wayne and Sandra were so nice to invite us into their home so we could use the facilities before going on to our next stop....we decided while in there to leave our mark behind here too.
Our next stop was at Greg Jeffers house....and Wayne and his wife Sandra decided to join in on the fun!
Apparently Wayne thought we all needed lessons on how to teepee...he's a pro!
Looking good....Is somebody coming??? NO, just the motion light...no problem!
Wayne instructing Rhonda....she is getting good...will be a pro by the time we get to our next destination!
Yes, this is Liz...she is making sure the work of art is complete!
It was decided we couldn't just leave without getting a glimpse of Greg's reaction to this...so we created a little bit of noise and low and behold he appeared outside....he also was a good sport and invited us into his home....the "barn" and offered drinks to quinch our thirst after all the hard labor.
Greg requested a picture of the "quilty party"....
We had one more stop on the list to make....but we were running low on supplies....Greg came to the rescue!!
Our final stop was Andrea Hunt Glidewell's house....unfortunately for us...she lives in a neighborhood where the houses are a little close together and those neighbors are nosey....and her trees are very high with no lower branches...but hey we still left traces of our presence!
It was a great evening with lots of laughter.....we WILL be doing this again!!! Who says we are too old to go teepeeing?
We may not have it all together...but...together we have it all!
SEAFOOD NIGHT
MAY 24, 2008
HOSTED BY RICH and TERRE
It seems this class of 78'ers has taken "gearing up", eating and catching up on the last 30 years very seriously this year! A simple conversation on the forum quickly leads to the planning of yet another "reunion practice" party. In many ways we are still much like we were in our teens, just say the word "party" and it happens!
On May 24th a few of the 78er's made the long drive to Lee's Summit to spend some time catching up and feasting on some delicious smoked salmon and king size crab legs.
BEER, BRATS & CAMARADERIE
JUNE 21, 2008
HOSTED BY GREG JEFFERS & PAM GEILER MENG
HELD AT GREG'S PLACE
Well, here we go again....practice makes perfect, right? If that saying is true then by the time August 16th gets here the class of 78 should be in PERFECT shape for the actual reunion....good thing we didn't plan an Ice Breaker night because the way things are going, we don't need to break any ice!
The gathering hosted by Greg and Pam brought out a few "new" faces to join in on the "gearing up" fun. It's always nice to see some "new comers" and would really like to see more of you!
This gathering consisted of great food, cold beverages, lots of laughs and catching up, all on a beautiful, first day of summer evening. Thank you Greg and Pam as well as a thank you to your spouses...it was a great party!
