L....yes, we got 2 inches....no lights from 3:35 until about 5:30 this morning...with an upset 3 year old.

T...Evening.

L...I hoping to start on the inside of the house and garage this week...I'm tired of all the crap, so if you don't need it, pitch it.

Nathaniel started the "I want to sleep in my own bed" about 11, finally fell asleep at 1:39, then 3:00 the lighting and thunder woke him up.

T...no I haven't check mail...I will. I keep getting kicked off tonight and it was running real slow when I first started chatting with Linda. Seems to be better now.

We never lost our lights... I've been through those storms with my grandkids.. 5 gets kinda crowded in bed...lol

When we bought this house we loved it.. But, We just wanted to get it all painted and ready so next summer we can work on the yard.

Allen did alot of work last winter on our garage.. All he has left to do is put in the drop ceiling and hang the cabinets.. Then I can get the other spare bed room done for the grandkids play room.

Long night for you Pam...or short, depending on how you look at it I suppose. Fortunately Shelby is accustomed to being at Grandma's house and doesn't do that. Now Hunter, he is a different story...he usually won't stay although he is getting better about it. I have him next week so hope he does okay.

Wow.. wonder whats happened to all the guys tonight

08/23/08 11:17 PM #662

Terre Turner

P-yes, it seems to be running very slow (delayed) tonight but I tend to think it's my computer...it's been this way for the last week or so. I think I took this computer to it's limit the past few months with all the reunion stuff!

L - seems every house no matter how perfect at first is just a constant work in progress!!

T....this was the first time Nathaniel stayed away from home. Megan was worried he would not do well. I think he would have been fine (even tho he wouldn't go to sleep til late) if it had not been for the storm.

However, this morning they enjoyed the jacuzzi tub and for them, it was like swimming in the pool. By the time, it was time to go home tonight, he didn't want to leave.

Those boys go in spurts it seems...as for Randy, it's still a little early for him on the "left coast" as he calls it..hehehe

Moose...well it's hit and miss with him...he will get on a few times then back off for several days. I think Danny is at the house this evening and they are probably sitting on the deck howling back at the coyotes while havin a few beers.

Al left for Alaska this morning so we won't see him on for a few weeks.

T... I agree with you on the constant work.. There is so much wood work in this house... It seems like I know get the dusting done and I have to start over again.

P... Is it an outside one or you bath tub..

Terre Turner

Wow, first time to stay all night at Grandma's! And like you said luck of it to be storming!!

08/23/08 11:24 PM #667

Linda Hafner (Dysart)

yeah it's only like 9:30 on the west coast..

Allen said to let everyone know he had a great time at the reunion.. He really enjoyed himself.. He said wow your class likes to drink.. lol

Linda Hafner (Dysart)

Well girls am going to get off here.. Was great chatting with you. Take care and good nite..

L - I am glad he enjoyed himself. It's always awkward for the spouses...they usually don't know anyone and therefore don't usually enjoy it much. But it helped having a lot of the gatherings before the reunion too that way they at least know some of the people. And yes, our class was a "party class"!

L...inside huge jacuzzi tub...one of the larger ones. Would love to have one outside, but thinking more along the lines of a pool....if I can convince Farmer Fred.

T....yes, first night and Megan said he prefers his own bed...they had problems on vacation cuz he didn't want to sleep at the hotel. He told his dad, he didn't want to come home and he was going to sleep in grandma's bed tonight!

08/23/08 11:35 PM #671

Terre Turner

That's funny, not like a 3 year old to be that attached to their own bed.

T...went out for drinks after work Friday with Carol Mathews Hall....we ran into Bob Templeton and Laura Lanning. I was trying to get a guy at the bar to buy drinks (he works at Heartland) so we had this friendly banter going on, then Bob walked in. I told the waiter to tell him, he was the lucky winner as a 30 yr grad from MB, he was paying tonight. He was like....how do you know I grad from MB? Totally priceless.

Bob and Laura both said they had a great time. He wants to make sure he is notified of future events...he gave me his cell and he said you have it also. Right now they don't have a pc

08/23/08 11:38 PM #674

Terre Turner

Oh that is priceless...I can just see the look on Bobby's face!!

A pool huh? Starting to change your idea about getting in the water now I see. I want a hot tub but I don't want to give up my pool...I figure I should have water year round to get in. Hot tub in winter, pool in summer...

08/23/08 11:40 PM #675

Pamela Geiler (Meng)

I love my jacuzzi tub....plenty of room, private, room for my bottle and glass, plenty of candles.

My idea on any future gatherings regardless of the venue is that we send out something via postal mail so no one gets left out!! I will be happy to do it for all the gatherings...just need the information and I will get it sent out. I think it will be well worth the effort of doing it. I have a couple of other ideas I wanted to throw out too...I think the key is to be consistent with all the future gatherings.

Bob and Laura were waiting on friends so joined us. He said he didn't know what to expect and originally wasn't going, but is glad he did.
