43rd Reunion

The Holy Family School Class of 1966 had their 43-year reunion on Saturday, May 16, 2009. Joanne Naso, Marilyn Gartner and Ginny Worfolk were the organizers from the beginning, and Laura Hull managed this website. In no time, the reunion took on a life of its own.

34 classmates and 5 spouses were in attendance at the reunion and it took place at Centerport Yacht Club in Centerport, NY thanks to Joe Korwasky, who sponsored the use of his club. It was a whirlwind weekend, really. Many classmates arrived earlier in the week from out of town and a bunch of us got together on Friday evening at Grasso's Restaurant in Cold Spring Harbor where Laura was singing with her jazz trio. So many of us who hadn't seen each other in so long were excited to meet again, so this evening broke the reunion ice, in so many ways. Then on Saturday we were all together again and we had a blast. Even the spouses had a good time. There were no egos in the room; we truly had a good time together. We laughed and laughed, as if we were all back in the school yard again. On Sunday, many of us met for brunch in the hotel.
