HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAL! Yvonne Harbour
My name in high school was Yvonne Wimpey. i did not know about Darlene. I was looking forward to seeing her again. She was my funny friend ...when we were 16 she hosted us one time at a pajama party at her house.
I remember her, David Marlow and a few others were there...we threw our shoes in a pile and whoever's shoe you pulled out was the one you went to outside with! We played spin the bottle...and laughed a lot. She was someone I could confide in. I am so sorry. I do not know what happemed to her, but I always considered her a light in my life. I am very sad to hear this.
Yvonne (Wimpey) Harbour Cell: 770-312-9697 I live in Sharpsburg Ga. My sympathy to her family and friends.
I loved Mona like a sister. I light a candle for her every Oct. 3rd. She was my best friend. That summer after graduation when I found out she was murdered. I died. I literally do not rememer the rest of that year. the last time I saw her was in April 1976. I went over to her house and showed her my 1969 Cougar and we talked of how she used to crush on Pete Camp...and of course William Meadors. We picked 4 Leaf Clovers from her front yard (I later put those in plastic and still carry them with me!) We talked about where we wanted to go to school, or get an apratment...or what we would do after high school. we traded Libra rings and said we would ALWAYS keep in touch.
A monster named Gerald Stano took all that away. I will never forget her kindness at church...and her sweetness and ear for listening to me when I had a crush on her brother Spud. LOVE HER TO THIS DAY and always. I know I will see her again one day. I'll never forget her beautiful laughter and sparkling eyes.
Until we meet again...
