Great website. I am looking forward to seeing all of you at the reunion. I know that alot of time has passed since the 70s, but I have just one question as far as the music of 1979 is concerned. Who the heck are the Boomtown Rats? Happy Holidays and see ya next July>

I love this website. It's starting to bring back alot of good memories. I can't wait to see how many YMOTR's show up. The 4th of July can't come fast enough.

Signed VP YMOTR's

This is such a great website! Thanks Donna and Darcy for creating it. I've been looking forward to getting information on our reunion and this forum is top notch! Looking forward to seeing everyone. It will seem like time has stood still when we all get together again. (except for the weight fluctuances, hair color or hair loss for some and those inevitable wrinkles.) It should be a ball! Everyone stay healthy for 2009.

Ok ok, I'm going to ask the burning question that some of me or (us) are wondering....who has 4 grandkids?? Some how seems unbelievable but just throwing the question out there for my (or others) personal satisfaction. Absolutely nothing wrong with it...just have to know:))

Ok guys, take a look at Pete Gagne's "photo". We need to start eating our rabbit salads and do daily crunches, if we even want to look half as good.:)

Im willing to bet that Nola Martin is the one w/4 grandkids. This is based on the fact that she had the most kids at our last reunion.
Congrats Roger on your grandson!!

Congratulations Roger and Charlene on your new grandchild! Enjoy every moment!!

Donna,

Nola Martin doesn't have any grandchildren yet. You'll
have to guess again. By the way, it's not me.

....maybe it's Rilda??

01/15/09 09:01 PM #19

Gloria Bourgoin (Santarpia)

Rilda's a good one for sure but I'm thinking it's some one that's already profiled on here..I see no point in some one filling out the survey and not bothering to set up their profile...just an idea but I've been wrong once or twice before:). Looking at who's already on here, it's impossible to say. Still HAVE to know....

I'm wondering if it's Claire Gardiner. She has 3 step-
children who were born in the 70's.

Well that would certainly make sense! I guess we'll eventually find out for sure at some point. Thanks Bernice! Glad to see you on here.

Bernice great detective work. You are probably right! But aren't we way too young to have grandchildren? Don't we still all feel like we are 20 something? Can't believe it will be our 30th reunion. Looking foward to it!

Jenny Jandreau (Jandreau)

Hi Classmates...yes ..it is indeed Claire Gardner Theriault that has 4 grandkids...unless someone else does too? Her step daughter has 3 and step son has 1..

Gloria Bourgoin (Santarpia)

Claire, I so agree with you!! My mentality is still as being in my 20's and grandkids, as great as I hear they are, is just not some thing I'm personally ready for. Look forward very much to the reunion and seeing you. Jenny, thanks for confirming! 4 grandkids at our age simply seemed so impossible but in Claire's situation, I quite understand. Look forward to seeing you as well.

I found a class picture of the second grade with Sister Annie (does anyone remember her like I do). Well I colored Sister Annie Face in black on the picture - this made me laugh - I guess I was expressing my feelings for her at that time!

But to your question Jenny, no I do not have any pictures of the senior class - However, For what I know for sure is that Donna Daigle is "the picture person" - I am sure Donna has one!

hmmm, the class group photo....I don't recall seeing one. I have my class yearbook, but all that is in it is our individual senior photos....if anyone has the class group photo if they want to e-mail it to me as an attachment, I can put it on this website...my e-mail is: donnapierceis@yahoo.com.

I do recall Mr. Jalbert taking a group photo at our 10 & 20 year reunion....I bet I have it here somewhere...hopefully I can dig that up someday and post it....Donna

Does anyone remember that when we first got our class rings that we we were called the "Fort Kent Indians" and the seven looked more like a two. I can remember Mr. Melford Pelletier said it looked like we graduated in 1929

Thank you so much to whoever sent and posted the class picture of "79"..

Diane, if it is the same petit Sister Annie Daigle, she was an older nun that taught us CCD at Market Street School from 2nd grade onward. She used to squeak when she would sing and around 4th or 5th grade she had Black Mike (that's what we used to call him with no offense ever intended) Charette would lead us into song and then she would proceed to join us, sometimes we used to tease her and lower our own voices to hear her own voice.

Lisa Dumond (Collins)

Allen I remember that Sister Annie. She taught us CCD for many many years.

Gloria Bourgoin (Santarpia)

Hi Diane, Allen & Lisa!
Sister Annie....you will all find this VERY interesting but some how I kept some documents over the years (my mom gave them to me some time way back when) and I have a certificate of merit signed by her in 1969. Sr. Annie Daigle..I had just moved from Madawaska & she was my 1st teacher in Fort Kent. We all went to Saint Louis School, the building across the church. I don't remember her teaching CCD but being I had just moved to Ft. Kent, I distinctly remember her being my 1st teacher there and the way she had her arm around me while I was crying from being so scared. Ok, Ok, I was scarred for life:)) So glad to hear her name!! I have fond memories of her.
