Following my retirement from the USAFB in 1994, I moved back to my home state of Wisconsin with my husband, Doc Kramer, and our daughter, Lois. Both of them departed this world way too soon, so now I live here in the rolling hills of Richland Center, WI by myself. I have been playing and teaching here since my retirement. Most of my playing now is in a saxophone quartet and the local college campus band, where I am currently playing clarinet. I also play in the pit orchestra for any musical that has a part for saxophone and/or clarinet. I really enjoy the wildlife on my rural property, and occasionally photograph or paint (watercolor) the animals that come to visit. I have 2 spare bedrooms in case any of you come to visit!

I just learned today of JoAnne’s passing last July. She was a good, loyal friend to me during our time together in the Army Field Band. I remember her resonant voice - the one who needed no microphone when the power went out! It was sad to see her suffer through the years of her illness. Rest In Peace, dear friend.
