After graduation, I attended CU-Boulder and spent four years cheering on Ralphie and earning a degree in biochemistry.
Leaving Boulder was hard, but after college I decided to join Teach for America. I moved to the Bronx, taught summer school to 8th graders, and learned the basics of being a teacher. At the end of the summer, I relocated to Los Angeles and taught 7th grade biology and health in South Central LA for two years. This has been one of the most rewarding and powerful experiences in my life.
After teaching, I moved to Baltimore to attend the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. I am currently getting ready to graduate next week (yay!). Shortly thereafter, I am driving across the country to my new home in Portland, OR, to begin a four year residency in obstetrics and gynecology.
With so much movement and change, I will not be able to make it to the reunion. I am disappointed that I won't be able see everyone and catch up. I hope everyone has a great time, and if you're ever in Portland give me a ring.
