Does anyone recall a Sarah Morris?  Think she was ahead of us in class.

Thanks for your help.

Barbara

I am thankful for all of my family and friends.  Turning 60 certainly gives you the opportunity to have more years from which to reflect.  I have fond memories of our high school days and feel so fortunate that we are staying connected.

I am so thankful for my family and friends and being Blessed with good health. I wish all of my fellow classmates a very Happy Thanksgiving . I  hope each of us will try to help someone who is not as Blessed as you are to have a Happy Thanksgiving.  God has a plan for each of us and for that I am grateful I have my Faith to get me through each day.  God Bless you all.

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm thankful for many things (family, friends, health) but I am certainly thankful for the great memories I have of growing up in Ft. Pierce.  It was a good life!

Reading Dean's sad news and Vicki's, my heart goes out to them.   How sad to lose someone.  It makes me even more aware of how amazingly lucky I am to be surrounded by joy and laughter and family every day.  There are ways to be rich that have nothing ot do with money.  I'm thankful, too, for a way to stay in touch with old friends.

Rick and I spent the evening at a friend's cabin in Mountain City, TN.  It was a peaceful night and we met many new neighbors.  We were home by 9:30 and attempted to stay up to watch the ball drop.  Fortunately I woke up with 20 seconds to go, woke up Rick and now we can say we stayed up until midnight.  We kissed and then went back to sleep.  Rick has not identified his resolution yet.  My resolution is to continue to keep our love exciting, fresh, spiritual and real.

Hey guys there is a system limitiation on logging on to our site to regester for the Class of 70 60th Birthday Party.  My mistake.  Please follow the following steps to register.

If you will go to the site, then to Classmate Profiles, scroll to the bottom of the page to the Guest section. Click on one of the 60th Birthday Party Sign Ups input your contact info and then it will allow you to register.  Sorry for the confusion – it is a limitation of the system.

I'm glad the "This Day in History" on our home page reminded us of that awful day when the Challenger exploded--imagine it's been 26 years today!  I remember I was at work at Horizon Hospital (psychiatric) in Clearwater with deaf patients when a nurse ran to our 3rd-floor window to watch the blast-off.  I got the patients to come over to the window to watch the shuttle soaring, then we were puzzled to see those separate plumes of smoke.  I went to the nurse's station and saw our secretary with her face in shock.  She looked at me and mouthed, "It exploded!"  Then we all ran to the living area to watch the TV news coverage.  So sad!  Where were you?

I was at the Orange Blossom Mall in Ft. Pierce and watched in horror.  It will forever be etched in my mind.

I too remember that day.  I was in my office finishing up reports for 1985 where I was working on the Okeechobee Canal Waterway from the St. Lucie Locks to Port Mayaca (Lake Okeechobee) for the US Army Corps of Engineers.  Our office is only about 50 air miles from the cape, clear January skies and then the unthinkable, the worst disaster in space history (at that time).  My first thoughts were, if they could have survived the explosion, how would they survive the fall back to earth.  To be sure, we may never know it all.

As kids growing up in the "space age" and with family and friends in related aerospace technologies (my cousin is a scientist working for Honeywell on guidance systems for NASA), we know that this is still an important industry, not only for our local economy, but to all nations

We thank those brave astronauts, the ones to follow and the ones to come to make a difference for the common good of all mankind.        (Now if they could build spaceship for someone 6"4", that would be great.)
