Jackie, On the bubbles, I'll have check with my brothers, (older) as I do remember them discussing it?/or having a role in it. It could be that more than ONE class at Dan McCarty did the same thing. Afterall, we were ALL equally brilliant, weren't we?

Jackie,
Thanks, I have some pics of the Empire, but it took 3 shots to get it all in! I envy your son. I'd love to live in Manhattan, but not all year!! It's pretty bleak and cold during the winter. A week or so when it snows would be enough winter for me. Spring and fall are my most wonderful times to visit. Fall is breathtaking. It was a little too early for me this year, but the reunion was scheduled for Sept. I have scads more pics, from some very different areas of the city, some you'll swear are from right here on the beach or the lovely park they built behind J.C. Penneys. I'll probably replace some of those with new ones off and on so watch for them.

We had a great time today with those classmates that attended the luncheon. Sure wish everyone could have been with us. As always, we had lots of fun and many, many laughs. At this age, no one cuts anyone any slack...... We are planning another event after the new year so maybe some of you can join us. Happy Thanksgiving to all. God Bless.
XOXOXO

Yes, it was a great time and well worth the trip from DeLand. What a wonderful group. Keep me posted on new events, particularly the cruises. Later, Mike

It was great seeing everyone. Hopefully we'll see some of you that couldn't make it, on a weekend after the holidays. Thanks to everyone there for a great time.
And Jackie, I know you think your grandaughter looks like you. She's got your looks alright, except she looks younger, lol

At our last reunion after the reunion meeting, Jimmie Anne asked for a show of hands as to how many of us were single and not in a serious relationship, nearly half had palms up. Therefore, I propose, (for entertainment purposes only) that we have an "Ask Jimmie Anne" column. Let's have some fun.

I'll get it started with this question.

Dear Jimmie Anne,
My friend lives a country away, she likes the cold, wet, bitter northwest and I, being a Florida boy, enjoy the warmth of 80 degrees 24/7/365. How could we ever be together given our meteorlogical differences. Mike
And please don't say "move to Kansas".

Jackie Fitzgerald

Kansas hahahahah hmmmmm It's in the 20's still here.

Dearest Jimmie Anne;

I like my friend above me have a wonderful man friend who lives in the hot buggy Florida. I being a NW girl I love the cold and the rain in Washington. I have an answer to his question though if you don't mind me answering. I believe she will be down there in the spring. She will probably need to thaw out. tee hee Take your vitamins as she probably has been hibernating with all the black bears out there. hahah

HUH?!? Vitamins? OMG!

Sharon Murphy (Peacock)

Oh my, sounds like it is getting a little hot in here!
I can't wait for the woman of the North to come down
to the man in the south.

It's a soap opera. Like the days of our lives or something.

12/12/09 06:44 PM #127

Vicki Church

You two are so cute!

Jackie, you know, we DO have A/C almost everywhere you go here in Florida, not like the old days when it was stinkin' hot no matter where you went.

Remember when there were signs in restaurant windows announcing they were "air-conditioned"? Gosh...we even have A/C in our cars down here now. I just go from one air-conditioned place to another.

And!! You can buy those cute little battery powered fans at the drugstore, darlin'!! That, with a couple of Mint Julep's and a good Florida man ought to keep you cool (well, I guess the MAN isn't supposed to cool you down...but that's his problem).

12/12/09 09:20 PM #128

Jackie Fitzgerald

hahahah gotcha guess it could go the other way too. Get heated gloves and down jackets, electric blankets, good ol fire in the fire place and then the mint juleps.

I just went up to the hardware store and hit some black ice man I almost biffed it. Its friggin cold out here. I don't remember it being this cold for this long in the 10 years ive lived here.

12/13/09 12:18 AM #129

Sherry Gabler (Newman)

Jackie, I think you ought to get out of the frigid weather and come south at least for the winter, :) That would surely make that fine Southern Gentleman happy and keep you from freezing to death. Then we can name him the "Southern McSteamy." lol

12/13/09 09:26 AM #130

Vicki Church

Yes it could go both ways, as far as bundling up for the cold weather...but you know, we don't have black ice down here. I agree with Sherrie!
We still need to hear from Jimmie Anne and maybe Rick needs to get in on this too. However, I think everyone wants you to move here, so get your cold butt down here.

12/13/09 12:35 PM #131

Jackie Fitzgerald

hahaha i love it.

"Let's Give Them Something to Talk About."

Yeah, Vicki, you tell her! I can handle 90 degree heat, as land surveyor I had to, but I could always find A/C when I needed it. On the other hand, weather below 50 goes straight my knees and no amount of warmth, except a weekend in the Islands will help.

OK, which soap opera are we, "As the Stomach Turns", "Days of our Exwives" or "Guiding Mike"? YES, lets have fun with this.

Do you realize that we have had 10 messages in 4 days on our reunion site? That is almost the amount (12) we had for September, October and November combined. Keep up the good work.

Someone call Jimmie Anne and Rick so they can join in.

Love to all, Mike

hmmmmm i like the saga between the north and the south. It warmed up today. It was almost 40. I still don't have water. Good thing we have showers at work. hahahah. Washing out of a pot of hot water gets old after a while.

Hey Jimmie Ann how are the manatees doing? I love those ugly things.

I have a hankerin for some catfish and hush puppies thanks to my southern gentleman for mentioning it.

catch ya later

I nominate; "Starstruck, The Celestial Saga Between the North & South". I know it's a little wordy, but it's a SAGA!!!!

Starring; Northern Star and Southern Sol

Northern Star=a bright shining star; which leads lost travelers.

Sol=Sun; the star at the center of the solar system.(Because testosterone dictates that men be the center of attention, ha!)

hahahah I am dying laughing here.

Its in the high 40's. Not too bad. I need a culinary expert. I don't like cooking anymore. Does anyone know a good cook?

I found out I have a broken pipe hahah let me explain. I have been out of water for a week. Thought it was the pump until I had my daughter hold the pressure switch and i went around the house and found the pipe that was broken. Keep your fingers crossed that that is all it is. Should be a quick fix for my son. if anything else is wrong it could be expensive. ughhhhhh

Catch ya on the rerun
