Bruce Michael Johnson of Ashburn died peacefully at home January 3, 2022.
He was born August 12, 1949 in Minneapolis Minnesota to Wright R and Mary Louise Johnson. Growing up in the midwest, he moved to Loudoun County in 1977 to teach Latin at Park View High School in Sterling. He retired in 2003 following a diagnosis with multiple sclerosis. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Bobbie, his brother Douglas (Sue) of Kansas City MO, his sister Anne O’Leary (Mark) of Zionsville IN, sister-in-law Janie Johnson of Jefferson City MO, nieces Kaitlin and Maureen O’Leary, Margaret Johnson, nephews Brian O’Leary, Scott, Chris, Matt and Mark Johnson, several great nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his brothers David and Brian. He is also survived by a host of former students who loved him and countless friends. A memorial celebration was held at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Ashburn April 21.
