Comments:
I attended North Texas State University, now called University of North Texas. I was very active in the social part of the campus, joining a sorority, the NT40, and a few other social clubs. Even with so much emphasis on this area, I did manage to graduate with a BS from the school of education. My degree, Recreation and Leisure Administration, lead me to take an internship with the Air Force at Carswell with Morale Welfare Recreation (MWR). After I graduated I started to work on my Masters, but that was short lived, I dropped out and went to work fulltime for Air Force in MWR. In my 14 year tenure at Carswell, I work in the Adult Recreation Center, Youth Center, Bowling Center Manager and the Managed the Office and Enlisted Clubs. I worked 11 years for AF and 3 for the Navy. After working for the military, I went to work for the City of Euless, were I have worked for the past 10 years. I worked 7 of those at the Texas Star Golf Course. Managing a golf course has not improved my game.
I married Lynn Shelton, who graduated from Carter in 74, Lynn is an eight grade History teacher in the Keller ISD. Faith my stepdaughter recently married, she is paralegal for a small Family Law firm in Fort Worth.
